"Half true, half false."
"Tell me about it."
"I''m not sure about the rest, but I''m certain his feelings for you are fake," Marion asserted.
Debra raised an eyebrow. "Are you saying my charm is weak? How can you be so sure?"
"When you love someone, you can''t hide it in your eyes," Marion replied.
Confession was something even he found hard to do, but Gand had been too casual about it.
There was no hint of affection in his eyes. Marion figured it was just an excuse.
Debra blushed under his fervent gaze. "Alright. You''re an expert. No one knows love better than you do."
She remembered the times before she epted Marion''s feelings. She had misunderstood his constant attention, thinking he was plotting against her.
It was onlyter that she realized he liked her.
"But if Gand doesn''t like me, why is he recording my every move?" Debra asked.
Marion looked away. "I don''t know."
"You don''t know, or you don''t want to tell me?" Debra scrutinized him. "Are you hiding something from me?"
Just as she was about to press further, Marion suddenly winced in pain.
Her questions flew out of her mind as she rushed to his side. "Is it your wound? Are you in pain? I''ll call the doctor."
Marion grabbed her wrist. "It''s just a bit of a pain in my arm."
"Your arm hurts?" Debra lifted the nket, but the bandage looked fine. "You must have strained the wound. Let me re-bandage it."
"Okay," Marion agreed, but as Debra went to fetch the medical kit, his expression darkened.
He had figured Juan was behind it all. The man was like a ghost that wouldn''t go away.
That evening, Debra went to the dining room for dinner. Liza and Gand were called down, and Liza was puzzled by Debra''s unusual hospitality.
"Come on. Sit down and eat," Debra urged.
Liza sat down cautiously, while Gand looked ufortable.
Debra smiled, "I just had three shrimp, two steaks, and a sip of mushroom soup. Mr. Eaton, do you need to write that down?"
Gand didn''t dare to respond.
Debra sighed dramatically, "I invited you to dinner so you could observe me more closely. Saves you the trouble of asking around."
Liza was confused. ''What does Debra mean by that? Why is Gand interested in Debra''s eating habits? Does he have feelings for her?''
"What is going on?" Liza demanded, staring at Gand.
