"They''reing." Erica rushed to close the door.
Liza was puzzled. "The groom is here to pick up the bride? Why are you closing the door?"
"You don''t get it," Erica said, piling up everything she could find to block the door. "This is tradition."
"What kind of tradition?" Liza asked.
"You wouldn''t understand," Erica replied. "Just don''t let those guys in easily."
"But among them is your cousin."
"True, but not today."
"But if you don''t let them in, how are they supposed to take the bride away? What if the wedding ceremony is dyed?"
Erica paused. "Oh, right. When can I let Marion take you away?"
Debra shook her head. This was her first time having a wedding. No one had taught her these customs before.
Erica pulled out her phone and started searching online. "Dammit. Networkg." Just then, a beeping sound echoed outside, and the door opened.
Randy poked his head in, cautiously checking for any traps. Then he entered the room and announced, "Marion''s here to pick up the bride. Everyone, clear out."
"Clear out," Gand echoed, following him inside.
The makeup artist and the stylist quickly left the room.
Erica stepped in front of Debra and said, "Not so fast."
Marion came in, dressed in a ck suit with a tie. His hair was meticulously styled, looking crisper than ever. In his hands was a bouquet of pink roses.
Everyone, Liza included, was amazed by the scene.
"Why not? It''s about time," Randy said anxiously.
While searching for information on her phone, Erica insisted, "Anyway, egroom should present
something first before he
Gand was confused. "Like?"
"Like an entrance fee," Erica replied.
Randy was speechless. "We''re already inside."
"Doesn''t matter." Erica stretched out a hand.
Randy could only gesture to Marion. "Give it to her."
Marion shrugged. "My money''s with Debra."
Randy turned to Gand, who winced. "I''m broke."
Finally, Randy looked at Michael, who said ndly, "Don''t look at me. I''m not the best man."
Resigned to fate, Randy sighed, "Alright, I''ll pay."
He took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Erica. "Here. Can we take the bride now?"
"Wait a minute." Erica nced at
