    In the still of the night, Eunice''s mind reyed the image of Serena, crying as if her heart would break,


    her face wet with tears. Could it be that she had wronged the girl?


    Serena had grown up with the finest education. It seemed impossible that a girl raised with such values

    The remarks her husband had made lingered in her mind; it wasn’t impossible.

    of the Collins family.
