Chapter 687
While it was quite alluring watching Arabe engrossed in her work, he didn’t want to be stuck in
theb all day, feeling like some sort of statue.
So, he cleared his throat, “Be.”
“Hold on.” Arabe waspletely absorbed in her screen. Only after a while, she asked, “What’s
up?”
Romeo nced at the time. It had already been half an hour since Arabe hadst acknowledged
him.
“It’s been half an hour.”
Arabe, “No way?”
Had it really been half an hour?
She was just inputting some data. How did time fly so fast?
Seeing his ignored presence, Arabe decided to save her work and ask, “Alright, what’s on the
agenda for today?”
Considering all the equipment he bought for theb, she nned to apany him.
“I want to take you somewhere.”
Arabe’s eyes instantly lit up, “More equipment?”
Romeo didn’t expect equipment to have such a high ce in her heart, and he felt a bit down, “Just
me, do you want or not?”

“That worked too.” Arabe’s enthusiasm faded a bit.
Romeo was speechless.
Apparently, he really couldn’tpete withb equipment,
Leaving the house, Arabe looked back somewhat reluctantly, “Pick me up tomorrow.”
Romeo wanted to be happy about it but then realized she was onlying for the equipment, which
made him feel a bit bummed out.
“Once I finish my experiments. I’ll have more time for you” Arabe seemed to read his mind and
smiled at him.
“When you’re done, more experiments will be waiting for you.” Romeo knew that for her, there was no
end to experiments.
Having a fiancee so passionate about research, he had no choice but to y along:
Just then, a car violently hit theirs. Romeo instinctively shielded Arabe in his arms. Carl, who was
driving, yelled out, “Mr. McMillian, Arabe, watch out, we are being ambushed.”
Another car hit them from behind. Romeo tightly held Arabe, his eyes filled with rage.
He didn’t care about himself, but if the assants dared to scare Arabe.
They were surrounded by cars on both sides. Another car was closely pursuing from behind. Carl
nced at the rear–view mirror, then checked the situation on both sides, “Mr. McMillian, Arabe,
buckle up.”
They had to force their way out now, or else the consequences of being surrounded were
unpredictable.
This was the outskirts, and this road was a wastnd with only their cars chasing each other.
Carl swerved the steering wheel, hitting the car on the left, then quickly swerved back, hitting the car on
the right. But the car behind them violently hit them back like it was retaliating.
Just then, arge truck appeared in front, blocking their path.
Carl mmed the brakes.
Four cars surrounded Romeo’s car, one in front, one behind, and one on each side. Carl hit the
emergency button in the car, which connected directly to the head of the security team, sending their
real–time location.
“I’ll deal with this. You stay in the car and wait for me. Don’t get out unless I say so.” Romeo looked at
Arabe in his arms and softly asked, “You got that?”
“Mhm.” Arabe nodded slightly, but in reality, she hadn’t heard a thing. She didn’t catch anything
Romeo had just said.
After Carl and Romeo got out of the car, the people in the other four cars started to get out
individually.
