Chapter 742

The ambnce, with its lights shing, swiftly whisked Nina away. Cameron trailed behind like a lost soul, following it all the way to the hospital. Once there, Nina was rushed into the ICU, leaving Cameron to slump helplessly in a corner outside.

    "Cameron."

Nathalie''s voice cut through the air like a whip. Thest person Cameron wanted to face right now was Nathalie-he was at a loss for words.

With eyes zing like a storm, Nathalie charged at him, grabbing his cor and unleashing her fury, "You promised you''d protect her. Cameron, you heartless jerk. She''s your daughter, how could you push her to the edge? Where''s your conscience?"

"I''m sorry, Nathalie." Those three words were all Cameron could muster, unsure how else to calm her storm.

Nathalie let him go, but her words were sharper than any knife: "It''s not your fault. It''s mine. I knew you were irresponsible, but she craved a father''s love so badly, and I let her go for it. I practically tossed her to the wolves..."

Cameron turned pale as a sheet. "You think I''m the devil?"

Nathalie looked at him, baffled by his cluelessness: "You''re worse. You have this knack for tearing apart anyone who dares to love you."

Cameron''s tall frame started to shake.

But Nathalie wasn''t done: "Cameron, what do I owe you? Why do you put me through this? You took my kidney, wrecked me, and now Nathan''s gone too, and next, it''s my daughter..."

Her eyes, filled with a fierce determination, bore into his: "What do you want from me? What will it take for you to leave me be?"

Watching her unravel, Cameron felt a wave of helplessness. "Nathalie, I don''t know why all this is happening, but I swear, I never meant to hurt. you. It''s like fate''s got it in for us... I never wanted to burden you like this."

Nathalie red at him: "Cameron, I used to be meek and afraid, but no more. From today on, I''m dering war. I''ll make you feel every bit of pain you''ve caused me. Just wait."

With those words, Nathalie walked away, distancing herself from Cameron.

She settled on the other side of the corridor, quietly waiting for the ICU doors to open.

The tangled Hives of the elite always seem to weave through a web ofplicated rtionships. Nina''s fall had rocked both Cameron and Nathalie''s circles, shining a light on their tangled past.

Benjamin and Ashley were the first to arrive at the hospital to check on Cameron.

But spotting Nathalie there, they both hesitated for a moment.

Ashley chose to ignore Nathalie, turning her attention to Cameron, "Cameron, I''ve heard it all. Don''t worry, Nina''s tough; she''ll get through this."

Benjamin gave Nathalie a cordial smile. "Ms. Nathalie, take care." With that brief nod, he turned back to Cameron.

During their chat, Ashley, with a smirk, crossed her arms and approached Nathalie, "Nathalie, our little wager''s almost up. Think you can beat me?"

Nathalie, in no mood for work talk, replied dismissively, "Ashley, you''re not even on my radar. Maybe your dad, but not you."
