Chapter 907

Morris couldn''t be bothered with Greta''s nonsense. His eyes were full of sarcasm, and he wore a look that screamed, "I can''t be bothered."

But Mrs. Vincent wasn''t having any of it. She turned to Morris and asked, "Mr. Rond, are you going to address Greta''s concerns?"

Morris let out a derisive chuckle. "Concerns without any proof. Why should I waste my words on her? I''m not here to bicker."

His handsome face suddenly took on a darker tone. "Greta, you know why Nathalie is so weak. If you''re the one behind it and don''t feel a shred of guilt, continuing to mess with her life, you''ll regret it. I''ll make sure of it."

Greta suddenly broke down, crying and yelling, "Why? Haven''t you done enough to me? I didn''t deserve this ending!"

Morris fixed her with a dark stare. "You know why. In this life, I only care about Nathalie''s happiness. As long as you''re not in her way, I couldn''t care less about you."

"Wow, he''s so amazing," someone in the crowd suddenly blurted. "Nathalie is so lucky to have someone who treasures her so much. She''s truly living a blessed life."

A few of the Mrs. Vincents shot the young, lively girl a look. "Lydia, hush."

The charming Miss Sharp quickly covered her mouth with a yful grin, but her admiration for Morris shone in her eyes.

Greta, however, burst into a manicugh. "Yes, I do envy Nellie. She has you to cherish her, a street beggar turned queen. She has everything now-health, peace, a happy family. But those should have been mine. Morris, why do you treat me like this? Why?"

    Morris''s face stayed stony.

    He watched Greta''s outburst.

"Greta, you''re making a fool of yourself."

"We''re all born equal. It''s people like you, thinking your fancy clothes make you better, shamelessly taking from those with less. I can''t stand your arrogance."

"If you hadn''t used your privileged birth to bully Nathalie, I wouldn''t havee after you."

    Greta''s eyes widened...

Morris was supposed to be at home,id up with a leg injury, yet he seemed to know everything. It was as if he had all the answers, and that terrified her.

"That''s not true," Greta sobbed, tears flowing. Ididn''t take anything from Nellie. She chose to give her kidney to me so she could marry Cameron. meso Mr. Rond, she''s the one who

    footed you."

"She was infatuated with Cameron, did whatever it took to be with him, and ended up pregnant. I''m a victim, too, watching the man I love with someone else. Do you know how much that hurts?"

"Greta, save those stories for your guilty conscience," Morris said with a coldugh.

"Do you think Nathalie is as shallow as you?" His words dripped with faith in Nathalie.

Greta''s envy of Nathalie only burned brighter. "You may not believe me now, but one day, I''ll show you just how wrong you are."

Morris sighed, "You''re full of it, but I''m not as gullible as Cameron."
