Chapter 2068
The call had barely ended when the onlinements took a dramatic turn.
A video of Crysti training with the stunt coordinator for two consecutive days on set was released.
Property belongs to N?vel(D)r/ama.Org.
There was footage of Danielle arrivingte on the first day, suggesting postponing the shoot
because she hadn''t had time for makeup.
A video of Danielle''s assistant notifying the director on the next day that Danielle had caught a chill
from thete-night shoot and was heading to the hospital.
And a photo of Danielle''s hospital record showing her illness.
[Why is it when Danielle gets sick, it''s understandable, but when someone else does, it''s diva
behavior?]d2
[Shooting all night and not being in top form the next day is understandable, but lots of people shoot
at night and they don''t all fall ill, do they?]
[A cough and a cold that aren''t serious enough for the doctor to rmend an IV or hospitalization,
and she insists on it? Who is she trying to impress with her post-incident guilt and apologies? Who
doesn''t know she''s been clinging to the capitalists'' coattails, ying the diva and standing people
up for years?]
[Look at her assistant''s face while asking for a day off from the director.]
[Crysti being a diva? Clearly, this is Danielle''s team intentionally smearing her, right?]
[Howe the same ''little rich girl'' can train for two days on difficult fight scenes in the mountains
without issue, but she copses after one night of shooting? So delicate, what kind of actress is
she?]
[Danielle fans, don''t say Crysti has dyed the shoot, okay? Your darling Danielle hasn''t dyed
anything really, throwing diva fits for three days straight. Now she''s acting without even learning the
fight choreography? Not even the world''s greatest actors would dare.]
[And Crysti being a diva? Leaving Danielle hanging? Putting these two topics together is just
hrious, isn''t it?]
Danielle''s fans were ashamed and embarrassed, and many unfollowed her in droves. Naturally,
marketing ounts wouldn''t miss such a trending topic, and shares and discussion about the topic
skyrocketed.
Another topic quickly climbed the trending searches—
Danielle, what a phony.
Danielle''s face went through shades of anger and embarrassment. This was the first time in three
years she had experienced such widespread mockery online.
Staring once more at the top trending topic "Crysti''s Diva Behavior," she clenched her phone tightly.
"Who did this?"
Her assistant shook with fear, "I don''t know. Maybe someone who doesn''t like Crysti, or maybe
she''s blocked someone''s path."
But Danielle couldn''t shake the feeling that something wasn''t right. Who would dare to cross a
Watson family heiress?
This stunt caused Danielle to lose a few magazine deals and a luxury brand endorsement. They all
switched to Crysti, along with other brand endorsements.
Cicely, swamped with calls, passed them off to Chloe.
Chloe happily took them on. She then sent a message to Seth. [Just stirred up a little trouble for
your sweetheart.]
Upon receiving Chloe''s message, Seth called Charlie.
Charlie reported, "Ms. Danielle has been feeling unwell and dyed the shooting schedule."
"And her?" Seth cut him off abruptly.
Charlie paused, "Ms. Cicely? She''s been with Ms. Watson on set every day. But with Ms. Danielle
off sick and unable to shoot, she''s been taking the opportunity to swing by No. 8 Mansion."
Seth frowned, "No. 8 Mansion?"
"Yes. To sell liquor."
"Tell Seamus, he has two more months. If this film isn''t finished by then, they might as well not
bother."
Charlie hesitated, "But it''s mainly Ms. Danielle''s issue, the director is at a loss."
"And if I were dead, he''d find a way?"
Charlie jumped, "I''llmunicate with him right away."
She had never received this kind of humtion, and Danielle had no mood for acting.
Her calls and messages to Seth went unanswered. Yet, the director''s attitude hardened, pushing
her to hurry up and catch up with the schedule.
She had no choice. The online criticism was relentless, and any further dys on her part would
only worsen thementary. Intending to embarrass Cicely, she only cornered herself into a
desperate situation.
She spent a morning following the martial arts instructor, learning the fight choreography.
Cicely, having just made a tidy sum, was rxed, sucking on a lollipop, sipping iced tea, and smiling
as she watched Danielle''s sweaty and awkward struggle on the wires.
To Cicely, Danielle was like a blooming flower made of money. This little scheme had fattened
Cicely’s wallet considerably.
Crysti''s positive public image was shining; her poprity was on the rise, with endorsements,
magazine features, and various bookings slowly climbing. Cicely now understood why Chloe
worked with such vigor—tormenting others while reaping countless benefits. Chloe truly knew how
to enjoy life.
Danielle gnashed her teeth in anger at the sight of Cicely''s carefree demeanor. Thest thing she
wanted was for Cicely to witness her downfall.
The fight scene wasn''t going smoothly, and Danielle, having to spar with the well-practiced Crysti,
was clearly struggling. She suffered a few bumps and bruises along the way, which would usually
make the director call cut, but today he seemed to be challenging her, ignoring her injuries and
repeatedly throwing the script down in frustration.
Humiliated, Danielle held back tears.
After Danielle failed to roll over to avoid Crysti''s sword, her knee hit the ground again, and the
director yelled "cut", the assistant came up and lifted the hem of Danielle''s skirt, and when the
assistant saw the knee that had already oozed blood, her face turned pale with fear.
Unable to contain her anger, the assistant shouted, "The actress is injured like this, and you still
want to continue? Have you forgotten how much Mr. Diaz cares about Danielle''s well-being? Even a
scratch in the past would have had Danielle rushed to the hospital for a thorough check-up to
ensure there was no serious harm. And now, with her in this state, aren''t you afraid he''lle back
for retribution?!"
Danielle bit her lip, gripping her assistant''s hand tightly, "Stop, it''s my job. This little scratch is
nothing."
The director, although irked by the assistant''s retort, was still somewhat wary of the name Seth that
had been dropped. Also, he couldn''t push the actors too hard, especially when they were injured.
"Alright, take a break for now. Get that wound treated before we continue."
"How are we supposed to continue? The next scene is the cliff diving sequence. Do you really think
it''s a good idea to jump into the water right after patching up a wound?" The assistant was losing
her patience. "If you''re in such a rush to keep on schedule, maybe you should find a stunt double
yourself. And if Danielle''s injury gets infected, I doubt any of us can bear the consequences."
The director''s anger red, and he mmed down the script. "She was the one who swore she
didn''t want a stunt double in the first ce. And now you''re telling me to find a double at thest
minute?"
Just then, another one of Danielle''s assistants came running over, barely able to contain her
excitement. "Danielle, Mr. Diaz is back!"
