    Chloe felt like her head was about to explode.

    They both stopped and turned to see Elizabeth, who they hadn’t seen in days, standing there


    shouting, “Where’s Nathan?!”

    after, she returned to the living room, disappointed.

    “You mean he ran off as soon as I left?”


    Chloe nodded. That was exactly what happened. He was like a rat deserting a sinking ship.


    Hearing themotion, Presley came downstairs, “What’s going on, why all the noise?”


    Elizabeth was furious, “I’m looking for Nathan. That boy, he actually got married behind our backs!”

    She knew then that hiding it wouldn’t change anything. After they returned home, everyone would

    dissipated. She was angry because Nathan had kept her in the dark about something as important
