    Chapter 1008: Blue

    ?

Lord Mighty''s leap was nothing short of an incredible physical feat. He didn''t only cross tens of meters with a single jump. He had also perfectly controlled his strength, arriving exactly where he nned tond.@@novelbin@@

That alone showed how Lord Mighty was no mere brute. His explosive energy and physical prowess were scary, but his ability to implement them in such a perfect disy of battle experience was scarier. However, Khan didn''t experience anything remotely close to fear.

In the past, Khan wouldn''t have been able to move freely while his body was tense. That was one limit of the Lightning-Demon Style. Yet, the Transcendent Step was a different beast, allowing him to use the mana inside his legs to perform sharp, explosive sprints.

Khan could attack Lord Mighty before his massive arm could move by another centimeter. That was the depth of his aerialbat mastery, but someone had challenged him in that field anyway, without even wielding flying techniques.

The event irked Khan to no end. Lord Mighty probably didn''t go as far as underestimating Khan or belittling his aerial mastery. His face actually said otherwise, but Khan couldn''t let that stand anyway. He had to teach the Royal Guard the gravity of his mistake.

Lord Mighty was still in the process of lunging his arm forward when his limb suddenly stopped, losing the umted momentum. Something heavy but precise had mmed on his elbow, perfectly opposing its forward force to disperse it.

The evolved Thilku barely had the time to lift his eyes and notice the figure standing on his elbow before his vision spun. Khan mmed his knee on Lord Mighty''s t nose, unleashing every ounce of power his existence could muster, and cracking noises echoed through the sky.

Lord Mighty endured the pain and blood that flooded his nostrils to n a counterattack, but Khan''s offensive had yet to end. Khan''s free leg was straight, hovering above the evolved Thilku''s head, and lowering it released an unstoppable force.

Lord Mighty had no foothold nor flying techniques. His body seemed to carry unlimited strength, but his situation made it useless. The Royal Guard could only endure as a heavy, destructive force mmed him downward, attempting to break the very nature of his being. The evolved Thilkunded on his feet, but his legs bent slightly to endure the blow. It was more of a tremor than a w in his posture, but it was better than nothing. It seemed even Lord Mighty couldn''t stand straight before Khan''s power.

The arena''s floor wasn''t as lucky as the Thilku. Lord Mighty only suffered a blow and some cuts on his head while the metal surface finally broke.

A circr but uneven crack opened around Lord Mighty, encircling him. The smooth floor broke, caved in, and rose, giving birth to irregr tiles. More shallow cuts spread from those fissures, but the resilient surface quickly dispersed the lingering destructive energy.

Lord Mighty didn''t deign the broken floor with a single nce. He straightened his posture, delivering a precise blow to his nose. Another cracking noise resounded, and a lump of blood shot out of his nostrils when he breathed out, but the injury ended there.

Khan and Lord Mighty seemed to have reached a silent understanding. They both knew that was a temporary break since Khan had used the previous exchange to deliver a precise message. He told Lord Mighty not to barge recklessly into his territory, and the Thilku looked like he had acknowledged that point.

The break also allowed both sides to absorb the previous exchanges. Lord Mighty limited himself to assessing Khan''s power, while thetter''s inspection went far deeper.

Khan could pierce Lord Mighty''s skin and affect his existence. The many cuts on his rectangr face stated as much. However, Khan also saw that all those minor wounds had stopped bleeding and were on the verge of closing. The damage had been too shallow to leavesting results.

Lord Mighty''s physical prowess was probably to me. After all, the evolved Thilku embodied the definition of a titan. His regenerative power also seemed off the charts since his nose already looked fine.

Nevertheless, Khan couldn''t help but consider different, more profound factors. Evolved warriors were more than blood and flesh. They would die without them, but their existence stretched past those physical constraints.

As tough as Lord Mighty was, nothing should be able to survive Khan''s condensed entropy. Even the arena''s resilient floor had eventually sumbed to it. Yet, Khan had failed to leavesting marks on the evolved Thilku, and his attention inevitably moved to his existence. Someone''s existence was an ethereal thing but no less real. It was simr to people''s auras but also very different. One was a simple echo through the symphony of what a warrior wielded, while the other was denser and more profound, acting as another piece of a body. Khan could touch Lord Mighty but couldn''t deeply affect his existence, making any wound he caused shallow. Khan could hold his ground in that superior realm, but victory was something he had yet to learn how to achieve.

Khan considered his level. Unlike other evolved warriors, his attunement with mana was stillcking. That was bound to be a hindrance when attempting to summon strength worthy of that superior realm, but Khan didn''t feel like putting all the me there.

That was more than a simple hunch. By then, Khan had seen various evolved warriors, even spotting a few special cases among them. Bruno was stronger than Mister Adrian and Miss Christen, and the Emperor was far superior to his Royal Guards, but the attunement with mana couldn''t exin that difference.

''What I pulled with Brigadier General Meadrey''s mes shouldn''t be it,'' Khan considered. ''I think. It should be about the element and its power.''

That brought Khan nowhere. After all, how was one supposed to enhance destruction? Khan wasn''t even sure mere concepts like greater or deeper damage suited that superior field. They sounded too superficial for something so profound.

"[Ah]!" Lord Mighty eventually cried, tired of the break, as he lifted his head at the sky." [Blind Sword was right. You can put up a fight, Blue]!"

''Did I just get a nickname?'' Khan wondered, meeting the evolved Thilku''s excited gaze. Something about that simpleminded, alien face reassured him, pushing aside hisplicated thoughts. He suddenly remembered that there were better ways to get answers.
