Chapter 293

Lizetta straddled Remington’sp, arched her back n bit, and rubbed her belly, locking eyes with

    Remington

“Spill the beans to Joy right now, why the heck did you push me to pop birth control pills, and what’s

    with the nasty talk?”

She puffed up her cheeks, looking all fierce, but hershes were wot, and her bright, doe eyes seemed

    to be brimming with hurt.

Remington’s fingers lightly grazed the moist, curledshes still clinging to the corner of her eyes.

The dampness touched the pads of his fingers, and as he rubbed them together, his heart felt a tinge of

    moisture too.

“Making you take birth control was indeed ‘cause I didn’t want us having a baby.”

Lizetta’s eyes brimmed with warmth, and her nose tinged pink.

Seeing her on the verge of tears again, Remington, utterly exasperated, leaned in and kissed the

    corner of her eye.

“Don’t jump to conclusions. I just don’t want a baby right now, doesn’t mean I don’t want one ever.”

    “But why?”

“What else could it be? You’re still a kid yourself, how can you be ready to be a mom?”

Remington looked at her puzzled face and felt even more helpless.

But Lizetta wasn’t having any of that answer, ring at him.

“Nonsense! I’m twenty–two, how am I still a kid? What’s stopping me from being a mom?”

Remington raised an eyebrow and pinched Lizetta’s tear–moistened, chilly cheeks that were all puffed

    up with anger.

“The way you’re crying and fussing now, you’re acting like a kid.”

“That’s ‘cause you ticked me off!” Lizetta retorted, not backing dow

Remington chuckled, nodding, and pulled her into his embrace, whispering, “Alright, alright, maybe in

my eyes, you will always be the kid who never grows up. Plus, don’t you have a clue about your own

    body?”

He really did think that Lizetta was still young and wanted to wait a couple more years before going for

    a baby.

After all, just a month or two ago, she had celebrated her twenty–second birthday.

Back then, he had misunderstood that she drugged him four years ago to dodge a marriage to the

    White family.

In his eyes, her reckless and willful behavior indeed wasn’t mature or childlike.

Lizetta felt a mix of embarrassment and a secret sweetness swell in her heart when he said she’d

always seem like a child to him.

She pursed her lips, “What’s wrong with my body?”

She didn’t quite get the gist of what he was implying.

Remington looked down, his warm breath reaching her ear, his voice husky.

“Too tender, that scar down there is still there. You can’t even handle my move, how can you bear a

child?” It took Lizetta a moment to realize what he meant by “down there,” and then she felt like she

was thrown into a furnace, her entire being flushed with embarrassment.

She remembered their chaotic first time, he was out of it that night, truly frightening

Having juste of age, and coupled with the mismatch in size, Lizetta didn’t enjoy a single moment

    that night, it was excruciating.

When she woke up the next morning, the bed was covered in blood.

Lizetta ended up getting stitches at the hospital and was left with that scar.

But that scar–she had never even dared to look at it herself.

How did he know it was still there?

She felt a mix of anger and embarrassment, looking down, “Liar, it’s been four years, it must have

    healed and disappeared by now!”

    She wasn’t prone to scarring.

But Remington just chuckled lightly, giving her blushing earlobe a gentle bite.

“How would you know it disappeared? Have you checked?*

That scar was in such a ce, how could she have possibly seen it?

    She wasn’t a weirdo!

Lizetta felt as if her whole body was on fire with embarrassment and annoyance, giving Remington a

    shove.

    “I haven’t!”

“If you haven’t checked, you don’t get a say. I know better.”

So he meant he had seen it. Lizetta felt her toes curl up in awkward shame.

She raised her hand to cover Remington’s mouth, not letting him talk anymore.

A muffled chuckle came from Remington’s chest, delighted by her bashfully teary appearance.
