Remington’s gaze was icy as he nced over, and Timothy had to cough to maintain his
“Who has Mr. Dashiell managed to anger for them to prank you like this? Quite bold.”
The others caught on after hearing this.
True, with Remington’s status, if he really had such issues, he would’ve sought private treatment from a
team of specialists long ago, instead of entertaining all these randoms self–promoting online, right?
Thankfully it was just a prank, or else wouldn’t they all be at risk of being silenced for good?
“That’s way out of line!”
“Mr. Dashiell has got to get to the bottom of this and find the sneaky little weasel behind
it.”
Everyone echoed in with agreement, while Remington’s phone kept ringing. The man’s face was
stone–cold as he cut off the screen projection and silenced his phone before speaking in a deep voice,
“Let’s continue.”
After the meeting, as soon as he got back to his office, Timothy couldn’t hold back and sprawled out on
the couch, clutching his stomach.
“Remi, it must be little Lizetta’s doing, right? Haha, haven’t seen her in years, and she’s still so
interesting.”
He remembered back in high school, Remington had somehow offended Lizetta, and the girl sneakily
gave him a full set of gel nails in the middle of the night, the kind that you can’t scrape off.
The kicker was, the next day Remington had an inter–school basketball game, and he yed with
those shiny nails on full disy.
Timothy stillughed so hard he got stomach cramps just thinking about it; he even saved a photo on
hisputer, truly a dark spot in Remington’s life.
In this world, the only person who would dare to prank Remington like that is Lizetta.
Remington kept a straight face, “Two details in the project proposal aren’t cutting it, revise them.”
Timothy quickly wiped the smile off his face, “Come on, I’ll stop, alright? By the way, I haven’t seen little
Lizetta myself in a couple of years, when are we all going to hang out?
You can’t keep her hidden away forever, Mr. Dashiell, don’t be too possessive.”
Remington set up a firewall on his phone, and the Incessant prank calls and requests finally stopped.
The man tossed away his phone and massaged his temples, just about to kick Timothy out when the
office door opened, and Cedric walked in with a parcel.
President, we’ve just received a local express delivery, it’s from thedy.”
Remington frowned, his eyesnding on the parcel with a brooding look.
But Timothy was a bit excited, taking the parcel.
“What’s this, Remi, you and your wife ying some kind of romance game? Sending love letters under
the same roof?”
Remington leaned in and snatched the parcel, his voice deep.
“Are you that free?”
Timothy shrugged, “Looking at how cherished it seemed, tsk.”
But he could tell Remington was genuinely in a bad mood, so he tactfully left the office. As soon as he
stepped out, he pped Cedric on the shoulder.
“What’s the deal with your boss and his missus?”
Cedric had a hunch about what Lizetta sent, but he didn’t dare say it and quickly left with a
nervous smile.
Inside the office.
Remington opened the express mailer, and with a thud, a wedding ring fell out first.
She used to cherish it, and now it was carelessly stuffed into an express bag, along with the divorce
papers.
Remington clenched the ring, his eyelid twitching.
At Tempo Dance Studio, Lizetta taught sses all morning and didn’t leave at noon, instead starting to
choreograph a new piece in the dance studio.
In the afternoon, just as she was about to go teach another ss, the manager stopped. her and told
her that the institute had just notified them that they were no longer
employing part–time teachers, and Lizetta was fired.
Lizetta pleaded in every possible way, but the manager just shook his head.
After leaving the training institution, Lizetta pulled out her phone and angrily called Remington.
She had been working part–time there for a year, everything was fine in the morning ss, and then
she was dismissed in the afternoon; how could there not be something fishy?
She just hadn’t expected that because of an argument with Evelina, Remington would go so far as to
make things difficult for her.
The phone rang incessantly, and just when Lizetta thought Remington wouldn’t pick up her call, it
connected.
The man seemed to know why she was calling him, he was silent, calm as a stone.

Lizetta, however, was breathing more and more heavily, shaking with anger.
“Remington, just because I pped Evelina, you made the dance studio to fire me?”
On the other end of the phone, the man’s voice was still low and steady.
