Lizetta and Ynda followed Remington out of the guest room, and just then, Cassius, who must have heard themotion from the master bedroom, opened his door as well.
Dressed in a sleek ck casual suit, Cassius exuded an air of elegance despite his cold demeanor. If you ignored the swollen bruise on his forehead and the handprint on his cheek, he looked ready to walk the red carpet.
"Remi, are you and Liz leaving?" Cassius inquired.
Remington nodded slightly, his eyes flickering with a rare mix of sympathy and helplessness when he saw the marks on Cassius''s face—courtesy of the two women behind him.
Normally, Remington didn''t show much emotion to anyone except Lizetta, but he couldn''t help feeling a bit sorry for his friend. He hadid out the whole n for Cassius to win back his love, and while it wasn''t perfect, it was pretty decent. Yet, Cassius couldn''t even follow the simplest instructions. With that thought,
Remington''s sympathy faded quickly.
"I''m taking them both home," Remington replied firmly.
Cassius had hinted that he wanted Ynda to stay, making it clear she wasn''t going to leave easily. But Remington had other ns.
Cassius frowned, "Remi, I need someone to take care of me."
He was bruised and battered, and he couldn''t understand why Ynda got to leave unscathed and triumphant.
Ynda clenched her fist slightly. She didn''t want to trouble Remington. After all, he and Cassius were best friends. Why should Remington risk angering his friend for her sake? It was all to keep Lizetta happy.
Ynda took a deep breath. She thought her sharp words in the room would have been enough to make the proud Mr. Sterling want her gone. But clearly, Cassius wasn''t done with her yet; he wanted to continue his taunts and games.
But she owed Remington a debt, and that was Lizetta''s burden to bear. Ynda wanted to handle her own problems.
Just as she stepped forward to
speak, Lizetta looped her arm
through hers pulling her along
"Come on, let''s wait for him downstairs."
Lizetta didn''t give Ynda a chance to protest, dragging her toward the stairs.
Cassius scowled, starting to follow, but Remington''s tall frame blocked his way.
"Remi!"
"You''ve already upset her enough. What more do you want? Chasing after her won''t end well," Remington said disapprovingly.
Cassius could only roll his eyes. Didn''t Remi see the irony? Wh?n he was chasing after Liz, it didn''t seem
like he cared about
foolish.
"Remi, you can''t just use your brother''s misfortune to win points with your wife!" Cassius snapped, finally losing his patience.
Remington ced a reassuring hand on Cassius''s shoulder. "I''m nning to have my grandma, Mrs. Dashiell
take Ynda in as her honorary

granddaughter. Whether it''s because of that connection or because of Ynda''s character, she''s not like those girls from
Hollywood you''re used to. Think carefully before you decide what to do next."
Cassius felt like Remington''s words were another punch to his gut.
"Did Yndain to you? And now you want Fiona Dashiell to make her family? You''re doing this on purpose, Remi!"
Remington''s lips twitched into a slight smile. He never felt the need to exin his actions to anyone.
