Chapter 906

"Wait, are you saying that just because your family doesn''t like something, you automatically love it?" Remington teased, his voice dripping with yful sarcasm.

Lizetta nced up, catching his gaze in the rear-view mirror. Those deep-set eyes of his seemed to hold entire gxies within them. Her heart skipped a beat, and the retort she was about to throw at him vanished from her mind. She cursed herself inwardly for being so easily flustered by him, feeling utterly defenseless against his charm.

Trying to regain herposure, she diverted the conversation, irritationcing her words. "Do you have any idea where Yoli is? Cassius took her, didn''t he?"

"Rx, Cedric is on it. We''ll know soon enough," Remington assured her.

True to his word, within minutes, they drove into an upscale neighborhood. Cassius''s mansion was nestled right at the center, bordered by a sereneke. The three-story European-style vi was surrounded by lush greenery, exuding an air of tranquility.

As they approached, Remington noticed a sleek Koenigsegg parked out front. "That''s Cassius''s car," he remarked, smoothly pulling over.

Before he could unbuckle and open her door, Lizetta had already sprung out of the car. But in her haste, she didn''t notice a small stone on the sidewalk. Her foot slipped, and she stumbled forward.

Remington was out of the car in an instant, reaching out to steady her with his long arm. She found herself pressed against his chest, clutching the fabric of his shirt, her eyes wide with surprise.

With a yful smirk, Remington looked down at her. "Well, Ms. Madden, I haven''t even started chasing you, and here you are, jumping right into my arms."

Lizetta felt a jolt from his teasing, like a spark of electricity. Flustered, she quickly pushed away from him and hurried ahead. Remington closed the car door, watching Ker retreating figure with an amused smile. He called after her, "Take it easy. Even if you sprint, i won''t change what''s happening."

He had faith that Cassius would handle things with some level of decorum. But

before his words fully faded, a familiar, stern male voice boomed from the mansion''s garden.

    "Ynda, get down from there!"

Recognizing Cassius''s voice, Lizetta quickened her pace. Her expression shifted to concern as she looked up. There, on the third-floor balcony, Ynda stood precariously, d in nothing but a bathrobe, teetering dangerously on the edge.

Cassius, looking disheveled, emerged from the room, his expression icy.

Lizetta''s heart raced, panic flooding her veins. "Yali." she called out, trying to urge Ynda to calm down. But before she could finish her plea, Ynda released her grip on the railing and plummeted towards the ground.

"Yoli!" Lizetta screamed, her voice mingling with Cassius''s own cry of shock and anger.

Cassius lunged forward, trying to grab Ynda, but he only managed to catch the sleeve of her robe. The fabric slipped through his fingers, and she fell.

A loud ssh echoed as she hit the swimming pool below, water erupting in a cascade of droplets.

"Yoli! Cassius, get her out of there!" Lizetta shouted, sprinting toward the pool, desperate for help.
