Chapter 1886

When Harold hit the big four-three, everyone got a bit too enthusiastic with the drinks. It seems that once they crossed into their forties, they started enjoying these get-togethers more and more. Each gathering turned into a nostalgic trip down memoryne over dinner and drinks.

Fiona and Alec, the young ones of the group, weren''t really into the adults'' endless tales. So, while the grown-upsughed and reminisced, the kids would whisper about how much the adults loved their stories and booze.

Harold, feeling a bit woozy from all the drinks, stepped out onto the rooftop for a smoke. Absentmindedly, he pulled a small, peculiar-looking bottle from his pocket. It had been a while since he''dst seen it at William''sb, where Colby had left, and William had somehow coaxed him into dreaming again.

He always thought he had a crush on Sophie, a secret he''d never dared to share. But that youthful crush had lingered on into adulthood, even into middle age. Yet, in his dreams, it wasn''t Sophie he saw it was his brother. Gordon, in Harold''s heart, was the most important person. He even wished he could revisit that dream

    once more.

"Uncle, why aren''t you inside? Mr. Wesley was looking to toast with you," Fiona said, suddenly appearing behind him. Harold quickly tried to tuck the bottle away, but Fiona had already noticed it.

The bottle''s odd design was probably one of William''s attention-grabbing

creations. Harold, ying it cool, slipped it into his pocket. "Alright, let''s head back in," he said, ruffling Fiona''s hair.

"Uncle, I''ve told you a million times, don''t mess up my hair!" Fiona protested as she fixed it.

"Oh, alright," Harold chuckled, his earlier rebellious streak reced by the calm maturity his brother had always hoped for him.

As they walked back inside, Fiona asked, "Uncle, what''s in that bottle? Can I take a look?"

    "Nope," Harold replied.

"Why not? It''s just a bottle. Is it expensive?"

    "Not at all."

    "Then why not?"

"Enough with the questions, alright?" Harold said, yfully flicking her forehead. "Go back and listen to us adults ramble."

Fiona hesitated. Rambling? Was Uncle still half-asleep, or just too tipsy?

Back at the party, Adler pulled

Harold over for another round. The room buzzed with life again. Sophie and Colby were quieter, sitting close with hands intertwined. Colby Kept serving Sophie food, his face

glowing with tenderness. Sophie had definitely made a good match.

Harold smiled faintly. This was good.

By the end of the night, everyone was thoroughly stered, except for Fiona and Alec. As they surveyed the table of snoozing adults, Fiona asked, "Think you can move them?"

"What do you think I am? Why don''t you give it a shot?" Alec replied.

"..." Fiona nudged him, saying, "Come on, don''t be so grumpy. I know you can handle it! You take care of Uncle, Uncle Wesley, and your dad. I''ll deal with Mom, your mom, and Auntie ire. Sounds fair, right?"

"What about your dad and Griffin?"

"They''re out cold. Would you dare to touch them?"
