Meanwhile
William was pacing around, anxiously waiting for his phone to buzz. He couldn''t quite wrap his head around it. What was going on? The call should''vee through by now. Why was there nothing? He was pretty sure his product would''ve wowed Kiran. Finally, he decided to take matters into his own hands and dialed Kiran himself.
"Hello, this is Dr. William."
"Hey there! Wait a sec... you''re not Kiran, are you?" William started off upbeat, but quickly realized he wasn''t speaking to Kiran.
"That''s right, Dr. William. I''m Mr. Angelo''s assistant."
"And where''s Mr. Angelo?"
"Mr. Angelo is in a meeting at the moment and doesn''t have time to discuss the medication with you."
?
William felt like the assistant was just blowing him off. "Okay, but has Mr. Angelo tried the serum? It''s really effective for psychological disorders!"
It''s perfect for his dissociative identity disorder! Thest part, William kept to himself. But surely, Kiran knew his own issues, right?
The person on the other end chuckled, "Mr. Angelo wanted me to let you know his condition was resolved 20 years ago, so you don''t need to worry, Dr. William."
"What? Resolved 20 years ago? How did I miss that?"
William was floored. Had Kiran gone behind his back to another doctor?
"Also, Mr. Angelo asked me to tell you there''s a package waiting for you at home." "A package? What kind of package?"
A sense of dread crept over William. Kiran wouldn''t send him a care package or anything. After all, Kiran wasn''t as sweet-hearted as Sophie.
"Well... Dr. William, you''ll find out when you get home." The call ended with no more details.
William scratched his head. What was up with that? But eager to find out, he rushed back to his ce overseas.
As soon as he got home, he saw a courier envelope sitting by his door. His gut was screaming at him.
Opening it, he found - just as h
feared a ring legal notice. William''s face turned stormy. This Kiran! Had he nothing better to do? Was hiswyer just sitting around collecting dust? An urgent legal notice, really?
Meanwhile
Sophie and Colby were soaking up the sun on their ind honeymoon. Colby got a call from William, who was bawling his eyes out: "I was just trying to help, why do this to me? Boo hoo..."
William was a mess. "I don''t care, you''ve got to help me get some justice. I can''t
be losing money on top of everything else!"
William rambled on for ages, and Colby was getting fed up. Just then, Sophie
came out of the bathroom, curious, "Who''s crying?"
"No one." Colby said, and hung up the phone.
William stared at the disconnected call, feeling all kinds of emotions. Brother!
Some brother you are! Running off at the first sign of trouble!
???
Three dayster, William kicked off his legal battle with the Pord family. In the end, he lost. The Pords didn''t ask for money but insisted William publicly apologize and admit Kiran had no psychological issues.
At first, William was furious but eventually, he swallowed his pride and apologized.
