Zeng Xiaoya said, “It’s okay, I don’t need you to pick me up before I can get off work. I’ll just ride my bike home by myself tonight.”


    “But I bought movie tickets, I wanted to take you to the movies, for 9:05.”


    Zhan Yue took out the movie tickets he had bought earlier.


    Zeng Xiaoya thought for a moment and then said, “Then wait for me here, I’ll ride my electric bike back to the hospital and thene out again.”


    “Okay.”


    Zeng Xiaoya turned her bike around, rode back to the hospital, parked her electric bike, and walked out.


    Zhan Yue also turned his bike around and waited for her. After she got on, he said, “I just called my second uncle and told him we’re going to the movies, and you won’t be back so soon, so I asked him to leave the door open for you.”


    “I have my own key, as long as my second uncle doesn’t lock the door.”


    “So you should tell your second uncle in advance.”


    “I’m not going home, so my second uncle won’t lock the door, but he will be worried.”


    Zhan Yue was thoughtful, knowing to call his second uncle in advance to let him know.


    The two went to the movie theater.

    Zeng Xiaoya pulled him along,ughing as they walked. “Taking care of the kids asionally won’t hurt you. You love your nieces and nephews so much, what’s wrong with taking care of them for one night?”

    He felt the price of asking his second brother for advice was a bit too high.


    If Ning Tianlei hadn’te back, his second brother and sister-inw wouldn’t havee home until 11 or 12 at night, and he wouldn’t have been able to go to the movies with Zeng Xiaoya tonight.

    “Let’s see if we run into my second brother and sister-inw at the movie theaterter.”
