Chapter 652 Vince’s Response

How frustrated must the mastermind be, realizing they lost out on such a significant market while also exposing their ambitions to the Avery?

    They must be fuming.

Hera and the others already know exactly who that person is and where theirpany’s headquarters is located, all thanks to Gerald’s intelwork and Sasha’s exceptional hacking skills.

In return for the trouble they caused the Avery, they even gifted that person a little surprise—a virus sent by Sasha.

Now, the mastermind must be scrambling to handle the fallout, battling both the virus and their own rising fury.

Hera couldn’t help but let out a soft giggle as the memory of their clever n surfaced.

The virus was timed perfectly, set to activate just as Vince revealed the conspiracy behind the foreign conglomerate targeting their Avery Branch Office in Barcelona.

Xavier, noticing the joy in her expression, reached out and gently squeezed her hand.

He, too, was impressed by Sasha’s efficiency—and to think Gerald had yed a part as well, following Hera’s lead without question.

It made him wonder what else Hera was hiding.

They all sensed there was something she wasn’t sharing, but none of them dared ask, sensing that she wasn’t quite ready to reveal that secret just yet.

Now that the head of the Tax Bureau and the assistant had been thoroughly exposed in the media, the evidence against them was irrefutable.

Sasha’s efforts had uncovered the erased surveince footage, proving the assistant’s tampering.

Additionally, the bank transfer records between the assistant and the head of the Tax Bureau were traced, revealing an alternate bank ount that, though disguised, still linked them directly.

With all of this undeniable proof, there was no way for them to refute any of the usations.

The two were still in shock, unable toprehend how they had been exposed or how all the information they had hoped was deleted or encrypted was now disyed so clearly on the screen.

Their minds went nk, unable to find a way out.

Before they could collect their thoughts, the police quickly apprehended them, dragging them to the patrol car and heading straight to the station.

There was no need for an extensive investigation—the evidence had already been sent, leaving no room for denial. It was the same reason Vince had been released so quickly.

After Vince presented all his evidence, the reporters remained silent, their attention fully captured as they diligently documented the unfolding scene, snapping photos of the evidence.

It wasn’t until the two were escorted away by the police that the reporters erupted into a flurry of activity, bombarding Vince with a barrage of questions.

"Mr. Caway, regarding the foreign conglomerate you mentioned, have you identified them?"

"Yes, we have," Vince replied, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with the camera, sending a silent message to the very person in question.

    "And what’s your next move?"

"Are you nning to go head-to-head with this foreign conglomerate?"

"Will the Avery Consortium stand behind you in this?"

Vince nced down at the reporters before speaking, his voice steady and firm. "We didn’t dere a corporate war on them. They were the ones who got too ambitious, trying to take on an established giant like the Avery Consortium."

"We are united, and we will not let any branch of ours be undermined or bullied by some conglomerate. By now, I’m sure they’ve received our ’gift.’"

"And yes, it came from us. I’m not shy about saying that. I just hope they appreciate it, considering they tried to push us into a corner. Retaliation was inevitable. Now they’ll know what it feels like."

"And make no mistake," Vince continued, his voice cold but resolute.

"We don’t bully the weak. As I’ve said before, the Avery is here to help those in need, not take advantage of them. But don’t think for a second that we’ll turn a blind eye to those who seek to destroy us or harm what we’ve built."

He locked eyes with the camera, a haughty smirk curling on his lips, his gaze daring as if sending a challenge to the mastermind behind the attack on his branch office. ’Bring your best shot.’

Now that this has aired on international TV, every move the Avery family makes will be under intense scrutiny.

While they refrained from directly naming the foreign conglomerate, any subtle or overt moves to oppress a corporation using their influence would leave little room for doubt about who the real target is.

After all, Vince openly dered their intent to retaliate, which means that even though they might not be able to bring the mastermind to justice through legal channels—limiting their punishment to the assistant and a few others—that doesn’t mean they won’t strike back in the business world.

Vince made it clear that the Avery Consortium is an old giant. While it doesn’t actively seek conflict, it won’t hesitate to retaliate when provoked.

However, thises with a significant risk.

Many are already coveting the power and wealth of the Avery Consortium, and if they retaliate openly, they might face not just one opponent but a coalition of rival forces, including the foreign conglomerate, joining together to challenge their dominance.

Vince’s expression softened slightly as he continued, "If it were up to me, I’d handle it differently."

"But our Young Miss doesn’t want toplicate things. Since we’ve already sent that foreign conglomerate our ’return gift,’ and given that our Young Miss is generous and forgiving, we’re open to reconciliation. Of course, they’ll need to show their sincerity first." Vince shrugged nonchntly, his arrogance still evident in his demeanor.

Vince was deliberately taking this approach, as he had made clear: if it were up to him, he would retaliate without hesitation.

His fellow aides shared his mindset—they were not about to let themselves be cornered or manipted.
