Chapter 430 Phantom

Having be ustomed to handling the car, Hera left no chance for the others to win against her.

That night, Hera managed to earn a few thousand dors, which instantly eased her burden of monthly expenses and even left her with enough to buy Alexi a few gifts.

And so, their partnership began at that moment. However, the illegal racing den was closed for a few months, so instead, the young master introduced Hera to the official car racing. She needed topete, win, and bring home the trophy.

She became a prominent figure in the racingmunity as a result, with the young master as her sponsor. The trophy and 40% of Hera’s winnings would go to him, while she kept the rest. This arrangement helped her manage her finances over the past year.

Otherwise, how could she possibly sustain Alexi’s lifestyle along with the sky-high bills and monthly rent she had to pay?

However, even with her winnings, these opportunities didn’te every month. She still needed to keep her part-time jobs to earn extra money.

This way, if there were no races for a few months, she would at least have some funds to cover bills and other expenses.

It had been a while since shest saw the young master. However, when Hera spotted him in the crowd, she recognized him immediately.

But since he didn’t greet her as usual, she assumed he was pretending not to know her to keep their partnership a secret.

But little did Hera know that the young master simply didn’t recognize her due to the significant transformation she had undergone.

She seemed to have experienced a glow-up, and after a few months since theirst meeting, she looked so different from what he remembered.

Yet, the faint resemnce he remembered, along with her driving technique, felt too familiar to the young master. It didn’t take long for him to realize that Hera was his partner.

"Phantom!" the guy murmured, but the sickly guy caught wind of it.

"You mean Phantom?! The genius racer who appears and disappears frompetitions like a ghost, leaving no one knowing who he really is?" His eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn’t tell if his mind was ying tricks on him or if his friend was seriously suggesting that Phantom was actually Hera, or if he was just saying it randomly.

"Of course she’s Phantom!" the guy murmured louder this time, an excited smile spreading across his face. His words sent the other guy into a stupor—who didn’t idolize Phantom among them?

If someone loved racing, they would have heard of Phantom one way or another. Many regarded Phantom as a racing god, and his status in their hearts was undisputed. But to discover that Phantom was a girl was a shocking revtion.

"How can you be so sure she’s Phantom?!" the sickly guy asked, shaking his friend’s arm almost forcefully.

In his excitement, he forgot he was supposed to be sick; the news was simply too overwhelming for him to handle, igniting a surge of agitation that momentarily overshadowed his condition.

Everyone wanted to meet Phantom in person, and many had attempted to uncover his identity countless times, only to encounter roadblocks at every turn.

"Of course, I know! After all, I’m Phantom’s sponsor and the one who has been blocking all attempts to uncover her identity. I’m the one keeping all her trophies and maintaining the closest contact with her. Do you really think I would mistake my own partner?" the guy said, his tone almost defensive.

"Then why didn’t you say so earlier?" the sickly guy asked, sounding skeptical. Although he didn’t want to believe his friend, deep down he knew he didn’t lie. He had also noticed Hera’s familiar, unorthodox driving style but hadn’t connected the dots until now.

The guy rubbed the tip of his nose sheepishly before confessing, "It’s because she looked different from what I remembered, but I’m certain it’s her. After all, her driving style isn’t easy to emte."

"Aside from when I taught her the basics, she figured out the rest on her own and developed her unique driving style without professional’s help, which is why her approach is so unorthodox."

While the two were arguing inside the VIP room, the national team’s support staff began to notice that Hera’s driving style closely resembled that of Phantom, the very racer they had been desperately trying to track down to join their team.

Having Phantom on board could give them a better chance of winning against their arch-nemesis, Great Britain.

The two teams were always neck-and-neck in every international Grand Prix, and securing even a single victory was no easy feat.

With Phantom on their side, they would have a much better chance. But who would have thought they had always been looking in the wrong ces for Phantom, even assuming from the start that Phantom was a guy?

But who wouldn’t think the same? After all, Hera’s driving style was so aggressive that it would be considered risky even for a man.

Despite their team being trashed at the moment, the support staff was exhrated, jumping around as if they had just won a major race.

They no longer cared about their team’s current performance; instead, they were already brainstorming ways to entice Hera to join them for the national Grand Prix and beyond, aiming for the international stage.

Only those on the racetrack hadn’t caught on yet, as their positions made it difficult to see what those watching from a bird’s-eye view could easily perceive. Soon enough, the race ended with Hera maintaining a significant lead over Dave and the others.
