Chapter 384 Bry’s Father, Being Jumpy and Nervous

When Hera noticed Gerald’s cautious seating arrangement, she couldn’t help but recall the flying shrimp incident from the previous day. The memory made herugh softly, and Gerald, recognizing the cause of her amusement, felt his face flush with embarrassment. His nose red slightly, but he chose not toment. Instead, he quickly shifted his attention and called out to the servers, trying to redirect the focus away from his difort.

The servers soon arrived, presenting an array of meticulously prepared dishes that catered to everyone’s preferences, with Hera’s favorites taking center stage. The table was adorned with a sumptuous spread: steamed Fourchu Lobster and Pearl Lobster, baked Coffin Bay King Oyster, charcoal grilled eel with a special sauce, and Bluefin Tuna paired with creamy white truffle soup. Additionally, there was a Kobe beef sandwich and Almas Caviar on the side, making for an opulent and diverse feast.

The table also featured lighter options, including a crisp sd with creamy Caesar dressing and an enticing fruit tter, alongside more seafood and soups. Bry’s eyes sparkled with awe at the array of unfamiliar and exquisitely presented dishes. Each te looked like a work of art, making him hesitate to dig in, captivated by their beauty.

Despite his reluctance, Bry’s stomach betrayed him with a loud grumble that echoed around the room, eliciting heartyughter from everyone. Noticing Bry’s predicament, the manager took it upon himself to serve the boy. Understanding that Bry was not only small and might struggle to reach the food but also likely unsure or shy about what to choose, the manager made sure to offer him a selection of dishes to try.

The manager promptly offered Bry a sample of each dish on the table, allowing him to choose his favorites before serving himrger portions of the ones he liked best. Meanwhile, Bry’s father, his hands trembling, reached for the nearest food. Without needing to ask, he recognized the extravagant nature of the spread—he had seen wealthy individuals indulging in simr delicacies before and overheard discussions about the high cost of caviar and air-freighted lobster from the servants of wealthy families.

He felt that the longer he stayed in such an opulent environment, the more his heart would struggle to keep up, overwhelmed by the extravagance. Unustomed to such luxury, he found himself eating slowly and sparingly, unable to fully enjoy the feast before him. Hera, recalling her own experiences of adjusting from a humble life, empathized deeply with his difort. She regretted not considering Bry’s father’s feelings more carefully and felt a pang of guilt for not anticipating his reaction to thevish surroundings.

Hera realized it was her oversight to focus solely on the male leads’ preferences and neglect Bry’s father’sfort, especially since this celebration was meant to for him. Frustrated, she let out a quiet sigh, which didn’t go unnoticed by the observant Zhane. He gently patted the back of her hand, which was clutching her dress under the table, offering a silent gesture of support and understanding.

Feeling Zhane’s reassuring touch, Hera pursed her lips in contemtion. She made a quick decision, beckoning a nearby server and whispering instructions into his ear. The server then dashed out of the room. Meanwhile, Zhane took a steamed Fourchu Lobster, carefully cut it into bite-sized pieces, and ced the te in front of Hera. He also set the apanying sauce beside her and gently encouraged her to sample the lobster.

Zhane continued to cut the lobster with practiced precision, effortlessly and gracefully peeling a shrimp for Hera. Initially, Gerald flinched and raised his hands defensively when he saw Zhane reaching for the shrimp, anticipating another mishap. However, when nothing happened, he nced over to find Zhane skillfully and elegantly peeling the shrimp, his movements so fluid and precise that it resembled a work of art.
