Recently, his mother had finally stopped her relentless attempts to set him up on blind dates, possibly around the time when Hera’s scandal erupted, which seemed to provide her with a moment of rity. This sudden change only heightened the Korean Dignitary’s impatience and concern. Despite being seen as the family’s ck sheep, Dave was also their pride—a figure they couldn’t control but continued to indulge due to his exceptional skills and sweet mouth that charmed his family.
Dave’s grandfather, the previous Minister, had made countless attempts to discipline him and curb hisziness. However, whenever Dave found something uninteresting, he simply lost all motivation, and his enthusiasm for any subject was fleeting. Despite their efforts, it proved challenging to keep him in line. Ultimately, they had to concede, focusing instead on ensuring that Dave performed his job exceptionally well—something he consistently delivered without fail.
Due to Dave’s unyielding nature, no one could really control him. The Korean Dignitary hoped that his granddaughter, who was both exceptional and charming, might be able to win him over and perhaps influence him to be more discerning. However, this n faced a significant obstacle: another woman had already captured his attention.
Fortunately, his granddaughter had a keen sense of when to strategically y her cards. When he saw her almost pleading and crying in front of Dave, asking for leniency for her grandfather, he felt a deep sense of pride. All the pampering and indulgence he had given her seemed to have paid off, confirming that he had raised her well.
"Mr. Carson, please don’t misunderstand," the girl said, her eyes glistening with unshed tears and her voice barely above a whisper. "Although my grandfather might seem insistent about the idea of an alliance marriage, he is only considering the greater good for both nations. Isn’t it said that leaders should always think of the bigger picture and make sacrifices for the betterment of their people, even if it means setting aside their own desires?" Her vulnerability, bined with her beauty, evoked a profound sense of sympathy and affection to anyone watching.
"I’m not that kind of leader," Dave said, his smirk dripping with disdain. "Besides, only weak ass people give in to such tactics. I’m not one of them." Unmoved by the woman’s disy of vulnerability, Dave’s irritation grew. He detested being manipted and was bing increasingly hostile toward both the grandfather and granddaughter, his patience wearing thin with their attempts to coerce him.
"Do I look fucking weak to you that I had to rely on a woman to pave my path or lead my nation to a better future?!" Dave’s voice was filled with scorn. "Man! You’re delusional if you think you worth that much effort!!! Wouldn’t I only let you take advantage of me if I agree to this marriage alliance? Hell nah ah!" Dave crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head furiously, clearly disdainful of the very thought.
