Chapter 349 Meeting Bry Again

Hera focused entirely on her studies while on campus. When she encountered Logan on the grounds, she took the time to talk with him and offer reassurance, noting his evident worry. Despite his concerns, he seemed to be doing well overall. Hisplexion had improved since theirst meeting, and he appeared more energetic. Hera considered this a positive development, grateful for the chance to improve his circumstancespared to the novel. She hoped that this progress would continue and bring himsting benefits.

It appeared that Lucas had attempted to disrupt Logan’s newfound peace a few times. Fortunately, Betty had assigned a vignt and skilled assistant to Logan, who had been effective in teaching him strategies to handle such situations. After a night of instruction, Logan had already picked up a few valuable techniques for dealing with Lucas.

He was determined to escape his cage, feeling that after tasting the freedom Hera had granted him, he could no longer endure being confined. The longing to breathe fresh air and bask in the warm sun drove him. Despite the challenges, he took one step at a time to change himself. Embracing these changes, he began to love himself more and see himself in a new, positive light, which brought him a sense of fulfillment and joy, but, this will be in the near future but he really is doing better than yesterday.

After exchanging a few words, Logan and Hera went their separate ways to attend their sses. Hera dedicated herself to mastering everything she could on campus. During her free time, she focused on studying and honing the skills her mentors had taught her in singing, acting, and dancing.

    Ding...

[Bry: Hi, sister! I missed you! Doctor Everett, my uncle, and my father have already begun the n. In about two weeks after the surgery, my uncle will start rehabilitation to heal his legs. Doctor Everett is optimistic that he’ll take his first steps soon, and then more will follow. The process might take time, depending on the rehabilitation and my uncle’s determination, but I believe it will be sooner since my uncle is so motivated.]

[Hera: I’m happy to hear this good news!!!]

After finishing her sses on campus, Hera agreed to have dinner with Bry and his family. They were doing well around the city, and their horses back home were thriving too, thanks to the help of the vigers and Bry’s mother, who took good care of them.

Even though it had only been a few days since theyst saw each other, Bry clung to Hera like she was his long-lost sister. His affection was palpable, and Hera, feeling the same way, indulged him with plenty of attention and enjoyed spending more time with him and his family.

"Sister, I saw online that some people were bullying you. Are you okay now?" Bry asked, his expression filled with concern. His eyes were reddening at the corners, and his lips were set in a pout of discontent.

"Yes, you know I don’t let anyone bully me," Hera replied smugly, affectionately ruffling Bry’s hair like he was a little brother. Bryughed, reassured by the sight of his fierce sister—he knew better than anyone how strong she could be and saw her as a hero.

"But, don’t you like Brother Xavier or Brother Leo anymore? I saw you kissing a fierce man on the live broadcast earlier," Bry added, his face full of innocent curiosity.

Hera choked on her drink at Bry’s question, while Bry’s father, feeling a mix of embarrassment and exasperation, gave his son a light smack on the back of the head. He clearly wished Bry had chosen a less awkward moment to ask such a question or better yet, not asked such questions at all.

Hera cleared her throat, trying to regain herposure. "Oh, what are you talking about? Brother Xavier and Leo are doing just fine. The man in the video was also one of my suitors. So, um..." She hesitated, struggling to find a way to exin the situation without causing confusion. She realized that her circumstances were quite awkward and not something she should delve into with kids. It was better to avoid opening up suchplex perspectives to them and misleading them.

Bry’s father gave him another light smack on the back of the head. "You little brat! Don’t meddle in adult affairs when you’re still wet behind your ears and has milk in your mouth!"

Bry rubbed his sore head and clung to Hera, pretending to cry for extra sympathy. "Dad! Stop hitting me! You’re going to make me stupid!"

"You are already so stupid, what’s more to worry about?" Bry’s father retorted.

"I’m not! Sister Hera says I’m smart!" Bry huffed, puffing out his cheeks in defiance. "Hmph! Father, you just have fish for eyes and can’t see a treasure!" He crossed his arms and turned his gaze away from his father, clearly indignant.
