He had always heard his mother’s words about men struggling with loyalty, unable to keep their desires in check, and often seeking satisfaction outside their marriages. Yet, she also emphasized that despite these temptations, men ultimately return to their families, viewing outside rtionships as mere indulgences rather than fulfilling their true needs.
He always justified his actions, believing that he knew who he truly wanted to be with for life, viewing their current challenges as mere bumps in the road. However, he never paused to consider Hera’s perspective. Sure that was her mother’s words but she also did not specify that his father was a scumbag and she was just staying in her dysfunctional marriage because she was afraid to leave.
She wasn’t trying to preserve her family’s unity because, frankly, their family dynamic seemed far from healthy. They resembled vultures and opportunists, always exploiting others while enjoying the fruits of theirbor, much like Alexi did with Minerva’s wealth and influence to advance his own status. Clearly, what he had wasn’t enough for him.
He clearly desired more, and the troubling part was, that he showed no remorse for causing others pain—a realization Hera had alsoe to. This realization strengthened Hera’s resolve to end Alexi’s delusions and put an end to his harmful actions.
Hera stared at Alexi with all seriousness before she delivered her final blow. "Alexi, the moment you decided to stick your dick in someone else’s cunt while you are in a rtionship with me, and let’s not forget me ving away to support your dream, then and there, our rtionship has ended and I made sure to tell you beforehand that I do not tolerate cheating. And clearly, our values are two worlds apart. The trust I have for you has already shattered to million pieces and even if I tried to mend it, it will never be the same and I’m sure that paranoia would only eat me alive thinking what you are doing while outside."
"And maybe you didn’t sit down and think what effect this might bring me because if you did, you wouldn’t have tried to cheat on me. And clearly, you didn’t love me enough because you still fell into temptation. Alexi, cheating wasn’t a mistake, it was a choice so it can’t be used as an excuse." Hera weakly shook her head before she pulled Alexi’s finger one by one to free her arm.
Alexi heard a deafening silence in his ear, and at that moment, the reality of losing Hera struck him hard. He realized he no longer held sway over their rtionship or her decisions. Flustered, he had always assumed Hera would align with his perspective once he exined his desires. He had grown ustomed to her unwavering support for his dreams, only now realizing he had taken her for granted, assuming she would always understand and stand by him.
Disliking the direction the conversation was taking, he refused to hear any more from her. Gritting his teeth through the pain coursing through his body, he summoned all his strength to sling Hera over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and swiftly carried her away.
The bystander was all caught off guard, their hearts all went to Hera and understood her logic and even they too felt the same way. Who would like a cheater? But since they are too invested in their emotions while watching the gossip, they don’t expect Alexi to resort to such a tactic and carry Hera away.
No one reacted faster than Alexi, catching everyone off guard with his unexpected action. Even Hera was taken aback, knowing Alexi’s tendency to freeze when upset or conflicted. She had nned to turn away after delivering her message to sever all ties with him, not expecting him to act so decisively.
And then, she could use this incident to present more of the evidence she had gathered against Alexi and, of course, Minerva as well. ’Wasn’t this kidnapping?’ Hera thought as she struggled to regain her bearings.
"Hey man, put her down!!!" shouted a bystander who had regained hisposure, moving behind Alexi in an attempt to reason with him. Instead, Alexi violently kicked the bystander, causing him to crash into another man who was trying to approach from behind.
