He wanted Hera to see that he did not have a messy love life unlike other men who have numerous female contacts in their phones but instead of thinking that, Hera thought how unfriendly Leo was that he didn’t seem to have many friends. So she felt like she really couldn’t decline his request this time.
In Hera’s eyes, Leo appeared as a somewhat pitiable figure with few friends. However, Leo had no way of knowing Hera’s thoughts. He was simply ted to have a means of contacting her. Quickly seizing his phone, he dialed Hera’s number. Upon witnessing her phone light up in response, he ended the call with a beaming smile before politely excusing himself to return to the city where he was originally scheduled to be.
"Please be sure to save my number, alright?" With a wave and an affectionate smile, Leo stepped into his car before it drove off. His eyes remained on the rearview mirror as he watched Hera’s figure slowly disappear from his sight.
Just as Leo departed, Xavier tugged at Hera’s sleeve with a serious expression. "Let’s exchange numbers too," he said, disying his phone. With a resigned smile, Hera exchanged numbers with Xavier. However, as Xavier beamed from ear to ear, he noticed Hera also exchanging numbers with Zen. Suddenly, his joy diminished.
With no outlet for his dissatisfaction, Xavier remained silent. Once everything was arranged and all the gifts from the vigers were loaded onto the truck, the convoy set off. Hera led the way in her Bugatti Mistral, followed by Xavier’s nanny van, and then Zen’s Aston Martin. Bringing up the rear was Bry’s father’s truck.
As Hera’s Bugatti Mistral didn’t have a roof, her and Daisy’s hair flowed freely in the wind, with the sun shining directly on them. To shield her eyes, Hera wore the oversized sunsses Daisy had brought along. The sses covered half of her face, but they only entuated her beauty, making her plump lips more prominent.
As they drove along, Hera noticed the once muddy and uneven road was now smooth and cemented. It was no wonder her Bugatti could pass through without getting dirty. Whoever led the construction was efficient and meticulous. Despitepleting the project in a short week, they didn’tpromise on the quality of materials used.
Little did she know, it was all thanks to Leo’s initiative. Witnessing Hera’s struggle to reach the vige due to the rough road, he promptly contacted the constructionpany under their banner and directed them to build the road and to expedite the project.
Leo was truly putting in maximum effort to win Hera’s affection. However, a significant hurdle remained: his tendency to keep his sacrifices and efforts hidden from others. As a result, Hera remained unaware of his status as her fiancé. Yet, the recent ident at the auction house presented Leo with an opportunity to assert himself in Hera’s presence. If it weren’t for Xavier’s growing proximity to Hera, Leo might not have felt the urgency to return to the city swiftly, eager to carve out more time with Hera and assert his presence in her life.
Leo had an epiphany about the futility of being a silent hero when the recipient of his efforts remained unaware. Such silent sacrifices could easily be exploited by others for their own gain, leaving him with mere breadcrumbs. As he departed, Leo was already formting his next move, plotting how to orchestrate another ’idental’ encounter with Hera.
With the convoy in tow, Hera maintained a steady speed, ensuring the truck could easily keep up. While her mind was upied with swirling thoughts, the picturesque scenery passing by filled her with a sense of contentment. Hera couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of growth and maturity after spending a week in the countryside and experiencing going head-to-head with the female lead while one of the male leads was by her side was really something else.
Just exactly 2 hours after, they reached the entrance to the city and before departing earlier they all unanimously decided to send Hera first, so that all the men could help bring her things to her ce, that’s why she’s the one leading the convoy. But in truth, Xavier and Zen only wanted to know where Hera lives because they would want to drop by from time to time or just the thought own knowing where she lives makes them happy already.
But they did not even expect that Hera would lead them to the Green Dragon Manor, at first they thought that they would be led to the Ruby Dragon Building, the cheapest among all the buildings inside the Green Dragon Manor but they were even more surprised as they went farther and farther until they stop at the most extravagant building inside, The Jade Dragon Building.
Hera smoothly directed them to her designated parking spot, leading them past the entrance of the Jade Dragon Building. In passing, she caught sight of some familiar figures, though the encounter was fleeting, leaving her unable to discern their identities.
After effortlessly parking her car next to her Bugatti La Voiture Noire, Hera stepped out and observed Xavier’s nanny van parking a respectful distance away. Perhaps Xavier’s road manager was scared about parking too close to a $5 million car, so they left a space between them. Zen’s car then pulled up next to the nanny van, and Zen eagerly hopped out, darting around to admire the luxurious vehicles beside Hera.
"So, these are the cars your assistant mentioned?" Zen’s eyes lit up like crescents as he admired each of the expensive cars in Hera’s garage. As soon as the truck parked on the other side of the parking space, Bry darted out to join Zen in admiring the cars. In just a little more than a minute, Bry’s father and uncle descended from the truck, with Bry’s father pushing his younger brother’s wheelchair toward Hera and the rest.
"Is it all right for me to park on the other side?" Bry’s father asked nervously, clearly apprehensive about parking next to all the expensive cars. He chose to park on the other side where there were no cars, but he wasn’t sure if those spots were already imed.
"It’s alright, Uncle. That’s still part of my parking space," Hera reassured him, understanding his concerns and putting him at ease.
