Chapter 58 Foodie

Guided by Cindy, the tutor entered the room, followed by a servant carrying another set of snacks and drinks. Meanwhile, Cindy collected the empty tes and pitcher.

"Good day, Mr. Fletcher!" Hera greeted her tutor as she rose from her seat.

He smiled warmly in response. "I see that you’re doing well."

"I am, and I entrust myself to your guidance once more," Hera replied respectfully.

After settling his briefcase, Mr. Fletcher approached Hera at the table. "Have youpleted your assignment?"

Hera fidgeted slightly but affirmed, "Yes, sir!" She then turned the screen toward the tutor, disying her PowerPoint presentation, and handed him the printed report.

Their discussion ensued, with Mr. Fletcher providing pointers and offering different perspectives as Hera progressed through her slides. This dialogue continued for an hour and a half before delving into a new topic for another hour. Mr. Fletcher allowed Hera time to absorb the information before moving on to the next assignment.

He handed Hera a printed copy of the assignment he had prepared beforehand before asking, "Is there anything else you’d like to rify? Or perhaps anything you’d like to share?"

Hera shook her head with a contented smile. "Nothing, sir. I believe you’ve exined the points thoroughly, and I don’t have any further questions."

He smiled, his eyes gleaming with pride as he tutored Hera, who effortlessly grasped everything he taught, absorbing information like a sponge. He considered it one of the best decisions he had ever made. Choosing to ept a favor from his friend to teach his granddaughter, instead of spending his time at the university where students mored for his attention. It was challenging to find someone as receptive as Hera to impart his knowledge to.

Every professor’s dream is to discover a diamond among the rough, someone who not only meets but exceeds their expectations, absorbing 100% of the knowledge they impart. It’s an unparalleled joy to find such a student.

Noticing the time and his untouched snacks, Hera made sure to offer Mr. Fletcher the lunch invitation. "Mr. Fletcher, would you care to join me for ate lunch?"

He graciously declined with a smile. "Thank you, but I have a lecture right after lunch."

Cindy swiftly interjected, reassuring Hera. "No worries, Young Miss. I’ve already arranged for a lunch that Professor Fletcher can enjoy on the go."

"Fantastic! Well done, Cindy!" Hera praised with a thumbs up and a yful wink, earning a chuckle from Cindy and a smile from Mr. Fletcher.

After ensuring that Hera received the assignment, he bid his farewells and returned to his car. Cindy escorted him to the front door where he boarded his vehicle. Before driving off, he sent a text message to his friend, Old Master Avery, detailing his impressions of his granddaughter’s talents in business and finance. He even expressed a touch of envy, noting how effortlessly Old Master Avery’s granddaughter seemed poised to seed him, while his own granddaughter remained rebellious.

Hera tidied her table and neatly stacked the new assignment she’d received before joining Cindy in the dining room, where lunch awaited.

"Wow, this looks incredible!" Hera eximed upon seeing the spread of food being arranged on the table by the chef.

Returning her enthusiasm with a smile, the chef introduced the meal. "Greetings, Young Miss. Since I heard you had a long tutoring session with the professor, I’ve prepared a sumptuous Japanese Cuisine, featuring an Unagi Meal set just for you."

He gestured to the square wooden container, which was asrge as Hera’s face. "Here we have the Eel (Unagi) on rice, grilled over charcoal and generously coated in a special sauce." Gesturing towards the soup, he continued, "This is Ichigoni, a luxurious local soup from Japan featuring sea urchin and abalone." Pointing to an egg roll (Tamagoyaki) and an A5 wagyu beef, the A5 expertly grilled, he added, "I also prepared these for you." Reflecting on the sushi option, he remarked, "I considered making sushi, but I wasn’t sure if you enjoy raw fish, so I chose this selection instead." Then, with a smile, he introduced the starters, "Lastly, your starters—kani sd made with Red King Crab and snow crab meat."

Everything looked appetizing, almost too beautiful to eat, and Hera couldn’t bring herself to take the first bite. Instead, she captured the spread before her in a photo, posting it with the caption, "Can’t bear to eat this amazing art."

However, despite her initial reluctance, Hera soon found herself diving into the food. The Kani sd offered a refreshingbination of vors, with the sweetness of yellow mango and the crispness of thinly sliced cucumber. The creamy texture of the mayonnaise was elevated by a special sauce that added a subtle citrusy tang. The soft crab meat added a meaty richness that bnced the dish perfectly, making it a delicious and satisfying choice to whet her appetite.

The unagi was delightfully chewy and sweet, perfectlyplemented by a warm sake that bnced out the vors.

The Ichigoni was delicate, devoid of any fishy aroma or vor. Its lightness tantalized the taste buds, while the freshness of the sea urchin and abalone enhanced the soup’s deliciousness. The Tamagoyaki had a subtle sweetness, contrasting with the slightly salty, melt-in-your-mouth A5 wagyu beef. Hera found herself fully immersed in tasting every dish on the table until she had finished everyst bite.

The chef beamed with delight upon hearing Hera’s appreciation for his culinary creations. Eagerly, he began envisioning the evening’s meal, determined to continue impressing the Young Miss with his culinary prowess.

After her delightful lunch, Hera sank back into her chair as the servants efficiently cleared the table before her. She then indulged in checking her social media, having noticed her phone buzzing incessantly during her meal—a clear sign that others found the food as captivating as she did.

As Hera expected, the picture had already garnered a millionments, around eight hundred thousand likes, and hundreds of thousands of shares.

[Amorefoodhub: Sister, where can I find this restaurant? Everything looks absolutely delectable!!! I’d love to feature it on my food blog... (heart eyes_emoji)]

[IeatAll: I agree with @TheFoodie! It would be amazing to watch you eat, Goddess. And please do rmend the restaurant you visited. Pretty please!!! (heart eyes_emoji)]

Seeing all thements asking for the restaurant’s location, Hera didn’t want them to misunderstand and search for a non-existent restaurant. She replied:

[Hera_A: Hi everyone, thank you for your interest! I appreciate your enthusiasm. However, I want to rify that this meal was not from a restaurant. It was prepared by a family chef...]

Hera made sure to pin her reply at the top so everyone could see it and avoid asking the same question again. However, her response seemed to confuse everyone. Given that Hera came from a humble background, they couldn’tprehend her mention of a <i>"family chef."</i> Was it a friend’s family chef, or something else entirely?

But their confusion was not answered and it only left them hanging.
