"May I ask why did you not want to reveal the faces of the people who hurt you, did they threaten you?"
Hera shook her head. ’As if they can threaten me.’ she forced herself not tough. "No. I just thought that I shouldn’t make a mountain out of a molehill. I just wanted to clear my name if I was given a chance. And thanks to the program, I was able to do just that."
The host and other crew members were profoundly touched by Hera’s words. While it was simply another day at work for them, they suddenly found joy in their work after realizing the impact their program had in providing support to those in need like Hera. As if they found a new reason to work hard and their passion was ignited.
The program concluded on a positive note after a bit more discussion with the host. Meanwhile, viewers mored for Hera to take decisive action against her cheating ex and his mistress.
Some viewers took it upon themselves to investigate the individuals captured in the footage, leveraging their expertise in the field. Despite Hera’s attempt to conceal their identities (fake attempt), her intentional slip-ups hinted that it was only a matter of time before the truth came to light without her needing to intervene.
When the show ended and Hera retreated to the side, everyone was all smiles and treating her well while she acted obedient and grateful.
On the inte, not only were they fervently investigating the identity of Hera’s cheating ex, but they were also moring for her to step into the entertainment industry. Their motivation wasn’t just to spare her from the grind of multiple jobs, but also a genuine desire to see her grace the screen more often. Overnight, she amassed a million steadfast supporters, showcasing the overwhelming solidarity of her newfound fanbase.
There were also those who began connecting the dots between Alexi and Minerva. Some crafted their own theories, delving into the truth and behind-the-scenes narratives. These discussions inundated the inte, sparking widespread spection and analysis across various tforms.
Observing everything unfold on the inte like a speeding train, Athena began to grasp what her friend was aiming for, even though Hera hadn’t explicitly articted it. However, Athena remained uncertain about Hera’s underlying purpose, prompting her to approach Hera directly for rification.
"So, this has been your purpose all along?" Athena tore her eyes from her phone and walked over to Hera.
Hera chuckled softly before responding, "Not exactly. I’ve been wrestling with how to handle this situation internally for some time. When I mentioned having a n, it was more of a broad outline of what I hoped to achieve, and I was still working out the finer details." She paused, delicately tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, then continued, her tone thoughtful. "The unfolding events during the interview werergely spontaneous reactions to the unfolding circumstances."
ncing briefly at the passing crew members with a polite smile, Hera resumed her exnation. "I had to carefully assess the audience’s responses and adjust my approach ordingly, which ultimately led to the oue we see now. Alexi’s unexpected call inadvertently yed into my hands, making it easier for me to achieve my objectives."
"Why didn’t you just directly post their video without blurring their faces?" Athena asked, seeking confirmation of her assumptions.
"It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just... I can’t," Hera sighed.
"What do you mean?" Athena asked, puzzled.
"I haven’t yet solidified my position in the upper circle. If I go after Minerva and Alexi now, I’ll only be hitting my head against a concrete wall," Hera exined.
Athena struggled to grasp her friend’s reasoning. "Babe, forgive me if I’m a bit slow on the uptake, but I’m not following."
"Have you forgotten who Minerva’s brother is?" Hera sighed in frustration.
Athena pondered deeply for a moment before realization dawned on her. "You mean Rafael Briley?!"
Hera nodded pensively. "If my memory serves me right, wasn’t he going to y a huge role in my family’s downfall? Besides, he’s the female lead’s main backer when she’s just starting in the entertainment industry." Hera’s frustration was palpable as she sighed.
’I had hoped to nip future troubles in the bud, but as it stands, my position as heiress remains precarious. Others could easily band together to undermine me. I need to gather strong supporters on my side to guard against my enemies before I can ascend to my throne.’
"I can’t confront him head-on at the moment; we need to strategize for future opportunities," Hera exined.
"Why does it have to be soplicated?" Athena asked with a pout.
"It’s not that I’m making itplicated. My situation is inherentlyplex, and I can’t afford to act impulsively. Keep in mind, my grandfather currently oversees Avery’s affairs and must shoulder the responsibility for my actions." Hera rified.
"Then what’s our next move?" Athena asked, attempting to simplify her thoughts amid theplexity of Hera’s ns.
"What else?" Hera shrugged. "We eat. My treat," she said with a grin.
During Hera’s financial struggles, Athena often treated her to meals to ensure she ate properly.
Athena’s mood brightened instantly. "Then I’m going for the most expensive option!" she dered, hands on her hips.
Hera chuckled and nodded, handing her phone to Athena to choose and book a ce for them. Alfonse had exined that Hera’s phone had a unique signature, enabling their system to recognize her and prioritize her requests. This system was interconnected with allpanies under the Avery banner.
"I want to dine at the Golden Dragon Pavilion!" Athena eximed, but then her enthusiasm faltered. "But I heard they’re fully booked for the next six months. I can’t wait that long, can I?" She looked disheartenedly at Hera.
Hera smiled reassuringly. "Why don’t you try booking a room first? Let’s see how long the waitlist is."
"Forget it, let’s just grab something on the way. I’ve eaten at stalls plenty of times," Athena said, her excitement dampened.
Observing her friend’s disappointment, Hera gently took her phone from Athena’s hand and began searching for avability. Soon, her face lit up. "Oh! They have an opening!"
Athena’s head whipped around to see if Hera was joking, but Hera was focused on checking the time. Curious, Athena leaned in to take a look and was surprised to see several avable time slots. "It’s true!!!" she eximed excitedly, grabbing the phone from Hera’s hands.
She selected a time slot just 30 minutes away, and Athena attempted to input some reservation details like their names and seating preferences. However, she found that the input fields were greyed out, and Hera’s details were already filled in. Additionally, the reservation was automatically set for Pavilion 1.
"This is strange," Athena remarked, tilting her head in confusion.
"What’s strange?" Hera inquired, ncing at the phone screen.
Athena pointed to the screen, but Hera didn’t appear puzzled. Instead, she had an epiphany. ’Oh! So Golden Dragon Pavilion is also under the Avery.’ However, she chose not to mention it to Athena, wanting to spare her from another surprise. "Let’s just let her enjoy the moment," Hera thought to herself, smiling at Athena.
