I was sure I had heard Norman’s voice, why them was Rn the one who came out of the woods?
My breath hitched in my throat when I realized that it was a conversation and I had picked out only Norman’s

Panic gripped me as I thought about what it meant. My heart began to race quickly. Their conversation had sounded heated and the only thing it could mean was that they were both in league.

Rn!
I was sure I had heard Norman’s voice, why then was Rn the one who came out of the woods?
My breath hitched in my throat when I realized that it was a conversation and I had picked out only Norman’s voice, what if he had been with Rn?
Panic gripped me as I thought about what it meant. My heart began to race quickly. Their conversation had sounded heated and the only thing it could mean was that they were both in league.
They were always at loggerheads when I had seen them, so finding them to have a conversation in the woods was suspicious.
“Amara, what are you doing here?” He approached me and I took a step back cautiously.
I swallowed the painful lump in my throat.
“I came out to get fresh air-“I didn’t want him to know that I had heard Norman’s voice.
“What are you doing out here?” I said, chuckling lightly.
“Same as you,” He said and I could swear that I saw him peer into my face.
“Ohh, you didn’t go to see yourdy again?” I questioned and he shook his head.
“She stood me up,” he said, he didn’t sound hurt.
We began to walk back to the house in silence.
“I woke up but couldn’t find anyone, I thought that you had gone to see thedy and Norman–well.”
“Norman’s not in the house?” He sounded surprised and I mentally rolled my eyes.
He was a great pretender.
“Maybe he’s bored and decided to go out,” he said and I nodded.

As soon as we got to the house, we met Norman and he didn’t look like he had left the house.
“Norman, where have you been man?”

He nced at him without saying anything and continued drinking the vodka directly from the bottle.
“She said she didn’t see you at home when she woke up,” Rn said and he nced up at me without saying a word.
I trudged slowly to the room and began to think. I had to do something and I had to do it urgently. I didn’t feel safe with both of them in the house.
I felt that Rn had another reason for not wanting me to leave and quickly made a resolve to leave. I had to leave before it would be toote.
“I’m here to see Amara,” I said to the guards and they stared at me with suspicion and another unreadable expression on their faces.
“Your name,” one of them asked gruffly and I swallowed hard as I thought of what to tell them.
I didn’t know they’d ask such questions. The mansion guards weren’t usually this strict. That made me think that something was wrong.
“Selena Forte,” I provided and they whispered something to each other.
“Wait! We have to inform her,” one of them said.
I was breathing heavily, praying that something would happen.
“I want to surprise her! I don’t want her to be aware of my presence. I’m her childhood friend,” I said, hoping they’d believe me.
I quickly fled from the house during the night. Rn had gone out and Norman was some sort of a deep sleeper. He was snoring lightly when I tiptoed out of the house.
I was about to say something to the guards as they did not seem convinced by my words when someone pulled me into a bone–crushing hug.
“Eve,” I said slowly as my face lit up. I bit back tears that threatened to stream down my face.

“She’s my guest,” she faced the guard and said in a firm tone.
“But-,” they began and she quickly interrupted them, shutting them off.

She raised a brow at them. “You’re going to stop my guest froming in? You seem to have forgotten who I
am,” she threatened.
“Maybe I should inform the Luna, I wonder how she’d react when she finds out that you are chasing her sister’s guest,” she said and I blinked rapidly.
She had just said something about being Luna’s sister. That means somehow, Selene had done it. It would be
easy as Rielle had been thrown into the cells.
Eve pulled me with her and I broke out of my reverie.
“She’s now the Luna,” she whispered as she held my hands.
“What?” I asked in disbelief.
Had Lucien really fallen for her lies?
“We were toote,” she stated and I shook my head. It didn’t seem like there was hope for me.
“She’s something else now. The only Good thing is that even Rick can sense that she’s not you,” she said and my heart lurched at the thought of my son.
“She’s made crazy rules. Crazy rules I tell you and I wonder why Lucien can’t see it. He won’t even listen to us.”
“I don’t think he’ll even appreciate seeing you. He might even throw you in the cell if he finds out that you’re Selene–you know she’s wanted,” she exined and I nodded my head.
I wondered how all that had happened without Rielle or her grandfather doing anything.
“Rielle?” I questioned and she shook her head.
“Surprisingly, we can say we’re freed from her and now we have only Selene to contend with. Rielle was sent on exile,” she stated and I gasped.
She had been exiled! The Rielle! She had seemed untouchable and I had been worried.

So it was true, Lucien did like me, but was only pretending with her.
“How’s Norman?” She questioned and I smiled.
I couldn’t tell her about the conversation I had heard from both him and Norman.

“He’s fine, he sends his regards,” I said.
She took me through an unfamiliar route and I squinted my eyes.
She noticed my difort and exined that she didn’t want me to be seen by Selene.
“I’m telling you, she has eyes everywhere,” she said and I nodded.
She was a maniptive, werewitch, there was nothing she couldn’t do.
We were about to enter Eve’s room when a familiar voice spoke and we turned around, my breath hitching in my throat as I didn’t know exactly what to say.
