Xander <b>left </b>for an entire week. He would <b>contact </b>Mnie in <b>the </b>beginning to tell her about his mother’s condition.
However<b>, </b><b>he </b><b>gradually </b><b>got </b>busy after a while, and <b>his </b>contact <b>with </b>Mnie lessened tremendously. Oliver eventually took over the responsibility <b>of </b>the studio.
Yvonne heard from Liana that Xander’s mother had jumped off a building in mental distress when the doctors were not looking. She hit her head, and it sounded like her condition was quite serious. Mnie <b>was </b>worried, but she did not ask Xander about <b>it </b>because she did not want <i>to </i>disturb him.
However, now that she was looking at the decorations in the <b>room</b><b>, </b>she felt embarrassed–especially with the huge heart drawn on the <b>wall</b>.
She must have been crazy to do such a thing only young women would do. Mnie quickly got a cleaningpany to clean up the room.
Mnie finally decided to make a trip back <b>to </b><b>Jepton </b>in March.
Xander still had not returned, but he began contacting Mnie again. However, he sounded exhausted every time he talked to Mnie <b>on </b>the phone.
Mnie brought Merry with her back to Jepton. Merry was almost one and was already able <b>to </b>call
Mnie Mom.
She had also recorded <b>a </b>clip of it and saved it in her cloud storage.
Yvonne wanted to hug Merry when she came to get them at the airport. <b>“</b>Let me <b>give </b>you a kiss, Little Merry<b>. </b>I’ve been bullied so badly by society<b>.</b>”
Merry turned her head away in disdain.
<b>It </b>was the weekend, and Mnie got Yvonne’s help <b>to </b>take care <b>of </b>Merry while she visited her grandparents.
She did not expect something to happen during this time<b>. </b>
Yvonne called her urgently on the phone<b>. </b><b>“</b>Come <b>to </b>the hospital, quick! Merry is hurt<b>!</b>”
She sounded angry and anxious. Yvonne <b>had </b>nned <b>to </b>take Merry straight home<b>, </b>but the owner of a bar wanted her to stop by <b>to </b><b>get </b>something.
It was something she had left at <b>the </b><b>bar</b><b>. </b>She nned to leave after <b>collecting </b><b>it</b><b>, </b>so she brought Merry
inside <b>as </b>well.
She did not expect there would be <b>people </b>having a drinking contest inside.
Two drunkards <b>got </b>into a fight, and <b>Merry’s </b>head was hit amidst the chaos<b>. </b>She <b>also </b><b>suffered </b><b>a </b>cut on the arm.
Yvonne felt extremely bad and apologized to Mnie the moment she saw her. <b>“</b>This is my fault. I shouldn’t have taken <b>her to </b><b>a </b>ce like that. I didn’t think there would be anyone in <b>the </b><b>bar</b><b>.</b><b>” </b>
Mnie ignored her and went straight <b>to </b>check on <b>the </b>sleeping Merry.
Merry was well taken care of <b>at </b>home, <b>so </b>she had fair and <b>tender </b>skin. Any minor wound was easily seen on her. Her head was bandaged<b>, </b>and her eyes were swollen from crying. <b>There </b>were still <b>tears </b>on her eyshes. She looked extremely pitiful.
Mnie asked Yvonne, <b>“</b>Where are those fighting drunkards<b>?</b><b>” </b>
<b>“</b>They’re negotiating with the police in the office,” Yvonne replied. “The police want to <b>see </b>Merry’s family. I’ll take care of her while you go over.<b>” </b>
The strong stench of alcohol overcame Mnie the moment she pushed open the office door. That was when she saw the arrogant red–haired man.
She looked at his face and recognized him to be Timothy.
He was the scion who threw firecrackers at her up on the mountain.
Her voice was grim. <b>“</b><b>I’m </b>Meredith Smith’s mother. You can talk to me.”
Timothy looked up at her with disdain. <b>“</b>You again?”
