<b>Xander </b>paused for a moment and then nced at Mnie. “It’s okay, Liana and Xavier are here. Besides, <b>it’s </b>almost over <b>anyway</b><b>. </b>If I return to the house, we might end up arguing again.”
Mnie did not dare ask about the Solomon family. Despite her initial refusal, Xander insisted on escorting her.
Compared to <b>the </b>atmosphere in the southern part of the city, <b>the </b>Christmas atmosphere in the north was much more vibrant. The <b>streets </b><b>were </b>adorned with all sorts of decorations.
Xander escorted her to her doorstep and prepared to leave.
Mnie was about to head home when <b>she </b><b>heard </b><b>Xander </b><b>call </b>out <b>to </b>her<b>. </b><b>She </b>turned around <b>to </b>see Xander standing under a streetmp. The warm glow <b>of </b><b>the </bmp made his eyes particrly gentle. He looked at Mnie, smiled, and said<b>, </b><b>“</b>Merry Christmas.”
Just then, fireworks exploded outside, drowning out his voice. Mnie <b>looked </b><b>at </b>Xander in confusion, wondering what he had just said. Apart <b>from </b>‘Merry Christmas<b>‘</b>, she also saw Xander saying something else<b>, </b><b>but </b>she could not hear it.
Xander was also taken aback. He looked up at the sky and opened his mouth <b>as </b>if to speak, but then he just chuckled. When he looked back at Mnie, his eyes were full of mirth. “It’s nothing. I wish you a merry Christmas and all the best,” he said with a smile.
Back inside her house<b>, </b>the fireworks were still going off outside while her phone continued to buzz with notifications. Putting her things down, Mnie recalled the gift Xander had given her and decided to open it.
Inside was a small peace charm along with some money. Mnie was stunned by its design. It was the same type as the one her grandfather had given her before<b>, </b>Mnie pursed her lips and carefully put the charm away.
The vacation Burning Star Studio organized was <b>set </b>to begin on the eighth day of the following month. Mnie had packed her bags the <b>night </b>before and headed to the airport early in the morning to meet up with Xander. They flew directly <b>to </b>Prime City and reached by noon, which was when they met up with the others.
They nned to spend a <b>week </b>in Prime City, and everyone was excited, especially <b>Reny</b>. She eagerly pulled Mnie <b>aside </b>to take <b>photos</b>. Suddenly, Mnie’s phone rang, forcing her to step aside to answer the call. It was from a client, and <b>after </b>a brief conversation<b>, </b>she ended <b>the </b>call.
As she returned to <b>the </b>group, she <b>noticed </b>several familiar figures–Cedric<b>, </b>Ste, Peyton<b>, </b>and Evelyn. However, Eugene <b>was </b>nowhere to be <b>seen</b>. Given Xander had previously met Cedric at the birthday party<b>, </b><b>it </b>was only natural <b>for </b>him to <b>greet </b>them.
Mnie stopped a <b>few </b>meters away from them, intending <b>to </b>wait until they left before approaching. However, Evelyn <b>spotted </b>her and smiled at her<b>, </b>saying<b>, </b>“Mnie<b>, </b><b>you’re </b>here <b>too</b>. Are <b>you </b>here for vacation or to recuperate?
“put now that you’re pregnant, flying must be exhausting, right?” Her words seemed caring on the surface, but they carried a hint of Indifference. It was evident that showing concern for Mnie was
not her true intention.
Sure enough, Cedric picked up on the word “pregnant” and immediately turned his stern gaze toward Mnie. He scrutinized her intensely. “You’re pregnant?”
