Chapter 945: Chapter 945: Not Afraid Anymore

Uncle Thompson’s voice waszy, sighing as he spoke.
Matthew Saxon said with a dark expression, "Pass the phone to her; I want to say a few words to her."
Then the sound of Uncle Thompson walking could be heard, along with his voice speaking to Scarlett Yates: "Stop crying. He wants to say a few words to you. If you want to leave here soon, tell him toe and get you. You don’t want to stay here, neither do I. As long as he immediately releases the Young Master and Madam, I’ll send you to his side."
Was she crying?
Hearing from Uncle Thompson that she was crying, Matthew Saxon frowned slightly, feeling a bit heartbroken.
The first time he talked to her on the phone, he heard her sobbing. It’s been so long, and she’s still crying.
Just thinking about her still crying, a hint of guilt surfaced in his heart.
George was right; she was kidnapped, naturally very scared, wantingfort and care from him, yet he was so cold to her. She must be both scared and sad now.
He shouldn’t have lost his temper with her before understanding the truth.
"Hello." A voice came through, ced with sobs. Perhaps from crying for too long, her voice was much hoarser and deeper than before, sounding somewhat muffled.
Matthew Saxon’s heart immediately softened.
"Scarlett, have you been crying?"
"Uncle Thompson said you had something to tell me. What do you want?" Scarlett Yates’ voice seemed a bit indifferent.
Matthew was taken aback, guessing she was angry. After a few seconds of silence, he spoke in an apologetic tone, "I’ll send someone to bring you back soon. Don’t be afraid."
"Okay." Her voice remained indifferent.
"If he treats you poorly in any way, let me know."
"There’s nothing bad; he needs you, so he can’t treat me too poorly. Everything is fine here, so don’t worry."
Matthew Saxon tightened his grip on the phone.
Now it was her treating him with indifference, making him realize what that feeling truly was.
Hearing her speak to him so calmly and detachedly, his heart began to feel uneasy.
"Scarlett, actually, my attitude before wasn’t the best, but it was because..."
"Matthew Saxon, hearing that you were willing topromise for me made me happy. It shows that I still hold a certain ce in your heart. You haven’t wronged me at all; in fact, you’ve done quite a lot for me. You really don’t need to exin yourself. After going through something like this, you must not be in a good mood, and I truly understand."
Matthew Saxon wanted to tell her that he acted that way because he was jealous.
He was jealous of her and Maxwell Saxon; as soon as he saw them together in the news, his anger inevitably red up.
"Scarlett, just one more day, and once I handle things here, I’lle pick you up immediately."
"Okay, I’ll wait for you."
"Are you scared?"
"No."
"Really?"
"Yes, I was a little scared before, but not anymore."
"Good, don’t be afraid. Rest assured, I will bring you back to me safe and sound. Just give me one day. When you’re back, we’ll pick a time to take our wedding photos, and we’ll also need to pre-order the wedding dress and tuxedo. Do you remember when I said I wanted you to marry me in a grand style?"
"I remember."
"And I owe you a proper proposal. When youe back, we’ll make it happen."
