Chapter 865: If Clothes Get Ruined, We Can Just Buy More

Chapter 865: Chapter 865: If Clothes Get Ruined, We Can Just Buy More

His shirt and jacket both carried a wonderful scent.

It wasn’t like perfume, yet it smelled better than perfume, more natural.

Scarlett Yates didn’t mind this scent; just like she didn’t truly mind Maxwell Saxon in her heart.

During breakfast, Maxwell Saxon asked her why she was so deeply resentful toward him.

Does she really hate Maxwell Saxon?

Upon careful consideration, she had never truly hated this man, despite him doing things that she found excessive, he never genuinely hurt her.

Perhaps he was a bit ruthless and heartless towards others, but with her, it was different.

Maxwell Saxon wasn’t wrong when he said most of her animosity towards him stemmed from her liking Matthew Saxon.

When you like someone, it’s inevitable that you’ll be biased towards them.

Even though Maxwell Saxon treated her well, if he harmed Matthew Saxon, she would see him as an enemy.

All the buttons were fastened, but the freshly ironed coat became wrinkled.

Maxwell Saxon nced at the cor that Scarlett Yates had intentionally crumpled. Instead of getting angry, he smiled and lightly ced hisrge hand on her head, ruffling her hair as heughed, "From now on, you’ll handle this task."

Scarlett Yates tilted her head and stepped back two paces, mocking, "The Young Master truly lives a pampered life; even your buttons need someone else to fasten them. If you don’t mind me ruining your expensive clothes because I can’t control the pressure, I wouldn’t care."

Maxwell Saxon casually straightened his sleeves, his slender fingers touching the cold buttons on the cuffs as he said, "Clothes can always be bought again, feel free to do as you wish."

Just as Scarlett Yates was about to mock him further, Maxwell Saxon’s phone rang again.

He frowned, answered briefly, and his frown deepened.

Scarlett Yates studied his expression, thinking he must have encountered a troublesome situation.

    She felt a bit schadenfreude.

After taking the call, Maxwell Saxon quickly left, still wearing the wrinkled clothes she had messed up.

    --

    The lush forest stretched endlessly.

    Mountains surrounded on all sides.

The car bumped along the muddy road, making Scarlett Yates nearly vomit her breakfast.

Fog filled the mountain, a nket of white everywhere.

The car switched between winding into this forest and passing through that path; even though Scarlett Yates kept her eyes wide open, she couldn’t memorize the route.

    There was no actual road.

The so-called road was merely created by the car crashing through.

Scarlett Yates finally understood why Maxwell Saxon chose this mountain as a ce of confinement; like abyrinth, most people wouldn’t be able to find it.

She hade and gone several times and still couldn’t remember the route, let alone those who had never been here.

After enduring the bumpy ride for so long, Scarlett Yates’ face turned pale with difort when the car finally stopped.

"Miss Yates, we’ll leave in exactly one hour," the person who drove her reminded her again before she got off.

Maxwell Saxon only gave her one hour.

But for Scarlett Yates, this was enough.

As long as she could see Matthew Saxon, as long as she could confirm Matthew Saxon was still alive.

Once she got out of the car, Scarlett Yates sprinted toward the White Tower.
