Chapter 751: Past I can never correct

Chapter 751: Past I can never correct

"That’s not what I meant," Dominick said with a light chuckle. "You always misunderstand me."

Gabriel smirked faintly, and the two brothers shared a warm side hug, their bond evident in the ease of their interaction.

Dominick then turned toward Amelie and embraced her gently before shifting his attention to the little boy in Gabriel’s arms.

He leaned forward and softly pinched Noah’s cheek.

"Little Noah," he said warmly, "do you remember me? Your second uncle."

    Noah’s face lit up instantly.

"Unca!" he babbled, pping his tiny hands together with excitement, his wide smile making everyone around him melt.

    Dominick’s eyes brightened.

"He spoke!" he said, clearly delighted.

    Gabriel gave a small nod.

"Yeah, he speaks in broken words for now," he said casually.

Then he moved forward with Amelie to greet their parents.

Raidan immediately stepped forward and took Noah into his arms, his face lighting up with joy at seeing his grandson after so many days.

"Say hello to Grandpa, Noah," Gabriel said.

But Noah had already found something far more interesting.

His tiny hands reached out and grabbed onto the pearl ne around Raidan’s neck. Completely captivated, he began ying with it, babbling happily as he tugged at the shining beads.

    Raidanughed heartily at his antics.

Meanwhile, Mabel pulled Gabriel into a warm embrace, her hands gently patting his back before she kissed his forehead.

"It’s so good to see you back at the pce," she whispered.

Gabriel smiled faintly, a sense offort settling in as he stood there.

Mabel then turned toward Amelie, greeting her with equal warmth.

After the greetings, the family slowly began dispersing.

Amelie went along with Zilia and Katelyn, the three of them heading toward another chamber to talk and catch up.

Noah, still fascinated by the pearl ne, happily went along with his grandparents.

Meanwhile, the three brothers, Gabriel, Dominick, and Casaio, made their way toward Gabriel’s chamber.

Once inside, Gabriel removed his zer and ced it aside.

Then he looked at Casaio with a small, knowing smile.

"So," he asked, "how does it feel, Cas? Knowing your responsibilities are about to grow even bigger?"

"It’s a strange feeling," Casaio admitted, running a hand through his hair as he sat down. "But with this blessinging into my life... I want to be the best version of myself for my pups."

His expression softened, though a hint of worry remained.

"What concerns me more is Zilia," he added quietly. "Carrying triplets... It won’t be easy for her at all."

Dominick nodded thoughtfully from where he sat. "With you by her side, she’ll get through it," he said. "But yes... carrying triplets is no small challenge."

Gabriel leaned against the table, folding his arms.

"And you need to prepare yourself for your next responsibility as well," he reminded him. "The future Alpha King."

Casaio nced at him, listening carefully.

"I think people no longer have any objections toward Zilia," Gabriel continued. "We haven’t heard any gossip about her or Idristely."

Dominick leaned back into the sofa chair, agreeing. "I’ve noticed the same," he said. "The situation has changed a lot."

Casaio exhaled slowly before speaking again.

"I don’t feel unworthy of the throne anymore," he admitted.

His voice carried a quiet confidence now. "I think that strength came when I started spending time among the people, seeing their struggles, understanding how they live."

He looked at both of his brothers. "Since then, we’ve introduced several reforms. Most of them focus on improving the lives of wolves who belong to the lower hierarchy within the pack. I want to build a system where no one feels overlooked or powerless."

"That’s great," Gabriel said with a nod of approval.

Then his attention shifted toward Dominick.

"What about you?" he asked. "How have you been coping? Are you back for good this time, or do you n to return to Gridlock?"

    Dominick shook his head slightly.

"My work there is finished," he replied. "I’ll be staying at the pce now and helping Cas with his responsibilities."

Casaio smiled at that. "That’s good to hear," he said. "Mother has been worrying about you a lottely. Now that you’re staying here, at least she’ll feel more at ease."

Dominick gave a faint nod, but his mind had already drifted elsewhere. ’Should I tell them about Jeniva?’

Before he could decide, Gabriel’s voice cut through his thoughts.

    "What’s on your mind?"

    Dominick blinked. "Huh?"

Gabriel narrowed his eyes slightly, studying him. "You want to tell us something, don’t you?"

    There was a brief pause.

    Dominick exhaled quietly.

"I... didn’t expect this to happen," he began.

Both Gabriel and Casaio listened attentively.

"The Moon Goddess has granted me a second chance mate," Dominick said.

    Casaio’s eyes widened slightly.

Dominick continued, "I was hesitant at first. I didn’t want to pursue it. But as time passed in Gridlock... I got to know her better."

A faint softness appeared in his expression. "And eventually... we grew close."

"So where is she?" Casaio asked immediately, excitement evident in his tone.

Gabriel let out a small chuckle. "You should be asking who she is first."

Dominick gave a small nod. "Her name is Jeniva Moore," he said. "She works in the Sentinel Department as a spy. She came to Gridlock for a case... the same one I was investigating. That’s how we met."

"She sounds like a strong person," Casaio remarked, clearly impressed.

Dominick gave a small nod. "She is," he admitted. "What amazes me the most is that she’s a suppressive omeg. And yet she can surpass many betas, even some alphas."

Casaio leaned back slightly, still trying to process that.

"Really?" he muttered. "An omega working as a sentinel? And a suppressive one at that?"

He shook his head in disbelief. "How does she even manage that? Suppressive omegas go into heat much faster than normal ones."

Dominick’s expression softened as he spoke about her.

"She built herself that way," he replied. "She trained hard, pushed herself beyond limits, to earn her ce in the Sentinel Department."

Gabriel watched him quietly before asking the question that mattered most.

"So... are you two officially together?"

    Dominick hesitated for a moment.

"We’ve kept it a secret for now," he admitted. "Jeniva wasn’t ready to move forward initially. And to be honest, I didn’t make things easier. I acted like a jerk and rejected her once."

    Casaio raised his brows slightly.

"But the bond didn’t break," Dominick continued. "We could still feel each other’s presence. Our scents. Eventually, even our wolves acknowledged that we should move forward."

Gabriel let out a soft chuckle.

"The Moon Goddess clearly wants the two of you together," he said. A teasing smile appeared on his face. "You should start pampering her more."

"Take lessons from Gabriel," Casaio said with a grin. "He’s the most romantic one among us."

Gabriel rolled his eyes slightly but didn’t deny it. Then his expression shifted as he added, "Juniper is in San Ravendale."

The change in the atmosphere was immediate. The faint smile on Dominick’s face disappeared.

"What is she doing there?" he asked, his tone turning sharp. "Don’t tell me she’s there to create trouble for you and Amelie."

Gabriel shook his head. "No. She’s trying to start a new life." He paused before continuing. "But she doesn’t seem like herself anymore. Her family never truly epted her. She hid her truth from everyone because she feared abandonment. And in the end, that’s exactly what happened."

    Dominick remained silent.

    Gabriel looked at him steadily.

"Honestly, Nick, you shouldn’t have shared such an important day of your life with anyone else."

His tone wasn’t harsh, but it was direct.

"I know it’s in the past now. But moments like that they matter for a reason. Just make sure you don’t repeat the same mistake with your current mate."

The words struck deeper than Dominick expected. Before he could respond, Casaio spoke up.

"I think that decision was mine," he admitted. "I was the one who suggestedbining the celebrations with mine and Zilia’s."

He nced at Dominick. "Nick was just trying to be a good brother."

Gabriel let out a quiet breath and shook his head. "You both were idiots," he said bluntly. "You can’t share such personal events like that. Everything that followed only made things worse. So ming one person wouldn’t be fair."

His voice softened slightly as he added, "Amelie helped me understand that."

Gabriel’s expression grew thoughtful. "I was angry with Juniper for a long time," he admitted. "But the truth is that she was hurt by everyone in her own way."

He looked at both of his brothers. "If you ever cross paths with her again, do apologize. She deserves peace too, both in her heart and her mind."

Dominick frowned as he contemted. "I ended up hating her. I never thought I would ever despise June. But she’s the past I can never correct. And it’s better if I never cross my paths with her. Though I pray that she finds a man who will love her more than anything."
