After she finished eating, Cynthia put on a jacket and went for a walk in the hospital garden. Noah, of course, stayed with her the entire time.
It grew chilly outside after the sun set.
Noah apanied Cynthia back to her room.
Cynthia washed up briefly and then went to bed.
Noah waited until she was asleep before he left.
When Noah walked out of the hospital, a car was already waiting at the entrance,
his assistant standing beside it.
"Mr. Thompson," the assistant said.
Noah nodded. “Is everything taken care of?”
"Yes, sir,” the assistant replied.
"Let''s go," Noah said. The assistant opened the car door, and he slid inside.
The car slowly pulled away from the hospital, entered the main road, and eventually stopped in front of the White family''s vi.
The White family''s house was brightly lit.
When Noah walked into the vi, Kevin was already pinned to the floor by two bodyguards.
"Who are you people? What do you want?" Mr. and Mrs. White tried to rescue their son, but Mr. White was immediately forced to the ground by another bodyguard.
As Mrs. White was a woman, the bodyguards didn''t rough her up, simply pushing her aside.
Mrs. White''s face turned pale with fear, and she began to cry and scream.
Hearing themotion, Karina hurried down the stairs. "Who do you people think you are? This is a private residence! I''m a Thompson—the mother of the next heir! You''ll regret the day you set foot in this house!"
Karina ran down the rest of the stairs,
and lunged at the bodyguards, trying to push them.
Naturally, the bodyguards wouldn''ty a hand on Karina. Even though she and Noah were divorced, she was still the mother of Mr. Noah Thompson''s daughter.
"Still putting on airs as Mrs. Thompson? Karina, you really have no self-awareness," Noah said with a cold smile as he entered with his assistant.
"Noah." Seeing him, Karina acted as if she''d found her savior, rushing to his side.
Noah ignored her. He walked straight in, his leather shoes clicking on the Whites'' polished floor, and sat down on therge leather sofa in the living room.
"Mr. Thompson."
"Mr. Thompson." The bodyguards all bowed their heads respectfully.
"These are your men?” Karina asked, stunned.
"Noah, dear, we''re all family. What all this? Tell them to let Kevin go. This is no way to treat your brother-inw," Mrs. White chimed in sidling up to Noah
Noah still paid them no mind, not even ncing in their direction. Instead, he looked at the nanny
standing at the top of the stairs et dent want her friss. I
"Take good care of the young miss. I
in any
way."
"Understood, Mr. Thompson," the nanny nodded and turned to go back upstairs.
After the nanny left, Noah''s gaze finally fell upon Mrs. White and
Karina, but it was just a fleeting nce
ofore he turned his attention to Kevin, who was still pinned to the floor.
Seeing this, the bodyguards immediately hauled Kevin in front of Noah.
"Ow, that hurts! Gently!" Kevin cried out in pain. He was forced to the ground again,
his body twisted awkwardly as he looked up at Noah.
"Karina, brother-inw, tell them to let me go!"
Noah''s expression didn''t flicker, his gaze as cold as a winter grave as he slowly increased the pressure of his boot against Kevin''s hand.
The sickening crunch of bone was instantly drowned out by Kevin''s guttural scream.
"Kevin!" Mrs. White was nearly in tears. She turned to Noah and instinctively ordered, “Noah, what are you doing? Let go of my son."
