The two men exchanged a few more casual words before heading to their respective rooms.
Bet still smelled faintly of tobo. After returning to his room, he went to the bathroom to wash up before entering the bedroom.
Yvonne was already sound asleep.
Moving quietly, Bet lifted a corner of the covers andy down beside her.
Yvonne must have sensed him, as she subconsciously turned over and naturally nestled into his arms, finding the mostfortable position before continuing to sleep.
Bet held her gently, his hand softly stroking her forehead and cheeks, then her slightly rounded belly.
Yvonne slept well through the night and woke up reasonably early the next day.
Bet apanied her to the restaurant for breakfast, and then they went out for a walk.
The ind''s scenery and climate were both excellent. It was a bit overcast today, which was actually morefortable without the scorching sun.
Yvonne had already yed in the sand and collected shells at the beach yesterday, so today was just for a casual stroll.
This private ind hadn''t been fully developed yet. Only a portion wasplete, with construction and development still ongoing.
The ind was vast, and using it all for private purposes was somewhat wasteful. Therefore, the currently developed part was only open to internal guests. The section now under construction was intended for tourism, projected to be officiallypleted and opened to the public in three years.
Bet showed Yvonne a map of the entire ind. The area they were in was less than a third of the whole. To the east, arge aquarium and an underwater hotel were being built.
"Interested?" Bet asked Yvonne.
Yvonne, being a grown woman, was long past the age of being excited about aquariums. She simply replied, "The baby will probably like it."
"Mm," Bet said, his gaze dropping to her belly, his eyes and smile filled with extreme tenderness.
By the time Bet and Yvonne returned from their walk around the ind, it was lunchtime.
The ind chefs'' specialty was actually seafood, sourced locally and incredibly fresh But Yvonne had
a severe seafood allergy and
couldn''t even touch it, so she was
out of luck.
Bet ordered a few dishes Yvonne liked and had a servant deliver them to their room.
The two of them dined in their room, undisturbed.
After lunch, Yvonne couldn''t help but yawn.
While Yvonne took her afternoon nap, Bet went out to join Noah for thepany''s team-building activities.
There was another banquet in the evening, but Bet didn''t attend. When Yvonne woke up, he was, of course, going back to be with his wife.
It was a bit chilly by the sea at night, so Bet apanied Yvonne to the vi''s rooftop terrace to watch the stars.
The light pollution in the city was so severe that it was almost impossible to see a sky full of stars, especially in a metropolis like Istra.
Yvonne and Bet sat side-by-side
on the rooftop, looking up at the
countless brilliant stars in the
distance, the sky met the sea creating a scene as beautifs a painting.
"Have you seen enough?" Bet asked, his arm half-wrapped around her. He squeezed her hand, which was a little cool. "Its chilly at night Let''s go back."
Yvonne was feeling sleepy again. After she got pregnant, she''d suffered from severe morning sickness. Once that passed, she became prone to drowsiness.
"Okay,” Yvonne nodded, then wrapped her arms around Bet''s neck, wanting him to carry her.
Bet swept Yvonne up into his arms and carried her down from the terrace.
Nestled in Bet''s arms with her eyes half-closed, Yvonne was like a docile kitten. Since Bet was carrying Yvonne, he took the elevator instead of the stairs.
