Chapter 908

"Morning, Noah." Bet and Yvonne came down for breakfast.

Since it was the only restaurant on the ind, encounters like this were inevitable.

"Good morning, Uncle Bet, Aunt Yvonne," Nic said, behaving herself for once as she greeted them.

Bet and Yvonne sat at the table next to them. As Bet looked over the menu, Yvonne casually asked Noah, "Where''s Cynthia? Isn''t sheing down for breakfast?"

"She''s not feeling well. I''ll bring some breakfast back to the room for her in a bit," Noah replied.

Yvonne nodded and didn''t press further.

Noah patiently waited for Nic to finish eating, then asked a waiter to pack up some of Cynthia''s favorite breakfast items to take back to the room.

But just as he was about to leave, Nic hugged his leg and started crying, demanding to go y on the beach.

"If you want to go to the beach, I''ll ask one of the staff members to go with you. I need to take this food back to Cynthia. She''s pregnant with the baby and can''t go hungry," Noah tried to reason with Nic.

But Nic wasn''t listening. "I want Daddy to take me to the beach! You always used to take me! I don''t like Cynthia, and I don''t want a baby brother or sister!" she yelled.

"Nic, stop this nonsense!" Noah''s face hardened as he reprimanded her.

Nic could tell her father was truly angry. Although she was still crying, she didn''t dare to shout anymore.

Noah held the sniffling Nic''s hand with one hand and the takeout container with the other as he headed upstairs.

However, when he returned to the suite, Cynthia and Mrs. Gable were gone. Even all of Cynthia''s luggage and personal belongings had vanished.

"Where''s my wife?" Noah had to ask the housekeeping staff.

"Mrs. Thompson left about half an hour ago:

    There was a boat ba

the maind today he must taken it, t, the state member replied.

    Noah''s heart sank.

He instinctively wanted to go after Cynthia, but Nic was still with him. He couldn''t just leave his child behind.

Frantically, Noah took out his phone and dialed Cynthia''s number. At first, there was no answer, and then it went straight to voicemail.

He then called the ind manager, who informed him that the boat had just departed.

After ending the call, Noah''s spirits plummeted. Nic, oblivious to the adult turmoil, was moring to go to the amusement park.

Noah crouched down, looked at his whining daughter, and his face finally became stern.

"Nic, who told you that Cynthia is a bad woman and that she''s not allowed to have a baby?"

Perhaps because Noah rarely used such a severe tone with her, Nicota was cowed. She answered witha, trembling voice, "Mommy, my uncle, and my grandparents."

Hah. The White family. Not a single one of them was left out.

Noah''s expression grew colder. He looked at Nic sternly and said, "Mommy and I separated because there were problems between us. Even though we aren''t together, and even if have othe children in the future, you will always be my precious girl. I will always love you, and that will never change. Cynthia is my wife now. I won''t force you to like her, but you must at least learn to respect others."

Nic listened with a pout, only half-understanding.

Noah couldn''t help but sigh as he stroked her head.

It was so easy to corrupt such a young child, but so difficult to set them right again.

The next few days were sunny and clear, with not a cloud in the sky.
