Her health had been poortely, and her mind often felt foggy. She kept thinking back to when she was Bet''s girlfriend, when everyone respected and fawned over her. She could spend as she pleased at any of the Thompson Group''s businesses, squandering money without a second thought.
She had been Bet''s girlfriend for so long, and their rtionship had been so stable. How could he have suddenly had a change of heart and fallen for that little tramp, Yvonne?
Ynda had been forced to marry that useless illegitimate son, Eden Monroe, only to get divorced and have an abortion at five months pregnant.
She had suffered so much, yet that bitch Yvonne was pregnant with Bet''s child, happily preparing to be a mother.
"Let''s go inside. Our appointment with Dr. Powell is at ten, and we don''t want to bete. She has surgery this afternoon," Mrs. Walker urged.
Mrs. Walker and Ynda entered the hospital and, without needing to wait, went straight into Dr. Powell''s office.
Dr. Powell briefly asked about Ynda''s current condition and then sent them for an ultrasound and blood tests.
The results came back in the afternoon. As Dr. Powell reviewed the reports, her expression grew increasingly grave.
Seeing this, Mrs. Walker''s heart sank. "Dr. Powell, was there a problem with the abortion? How is my daughter''s health?"
"The procedure itself was fine. The uterus was cleaned out thoroughly, and she seems to be recovering reasonably well. From a gynecological standpoint, there are no issues. However, some of her other test results are abnormal. I''m not an expert in this area, so I can''t say for sure. I rmend you consult a specialist in internal medicine."
With that, Dr. Powell separated the gynecological reports from the others and handed them to Mrs. Walker.
Before the fall of the Rogers family, Ynda had always received treatment at their family hospital. Oscar Rogers had hired the nation''s top internal medicine specialists, and both of her kidney transnt surgeries had been performed perfectly.
Now, Oscar was dead, and the Rogers family had vanished from Istra.
Mrs. Walker had no choice but to make an appointment with a specialist at the
women and children''s hospital to have Ynda examined.
After reviewing Ynda''s test results, the doctor immediately rmended she be hospitalized.
Mrs. Walker''s heart leaped into her throat. "Dr. Powell said the abortion was sessful and there were noplications. My daughter has had a kidney transnt, but her current kidney is very healthy and highlypatible. She''s never had any issues. Why does she need to be hospitalized?"
"Ms. Walker has had a kidney transnt. Even though her body recovered, she''s notparable to a healthy person. Both pregnancy and abortion put a significant strain on the kidneys. It was incredibly reckless for someone in her condition to undergo an abortion."
The doctor pulled out Ynda''s kidney function test results. The rows of data were all outside the normal range.
"Her kidney function has significantly declined. If it isn''t treated promptly, her kidney will necrotize, and she''ll need another transnt."
After speaking, the doctor nced at Ynda''s blood type and shook his head with a sigh. It could take years for a patient with amon blood type to find a donor kidney. For someone with a rare type like hers, it was practically impossible.
The doctor couldn''t even imagine how they had found a donor for Ynda''sst transnt.
Ynda was hospitalized again, and Mrs. Walker was so worried her hair was nearly turning white overnight.
Once Ynda''s kidney function began to decline, it was impossible for it to return to a healthy state. If they could get her current condition under control it would be one thing. But if they couldn''t, and her condition continued to worsen, her kidney would fail and neérotize. Then, her only options would be another transnt or death.
