Noah set down the script he was holding and picked up a document folder from the coffee table, handing it to Cynthia.
"What''s this?" Cynthia asked, confused, as she opened it. Inside was a card—the debit card to Noah''s primary ount.
The old one had been with Karina, but it was cancelled after their divorce. He had applied for a new one.
Besides the card, there were deeds to two properties, gifts from Mr. Thompson Sr. and Tobias and Karina after their marriage.
Finally, there was a stock transfer agreement.
Noah had left his marriage to Karina with practically nothing.
But now that he was married to Cynthia, the elders were naturally generous. More importantly, Noah held 5% of the Thompson Group''s shares, and this was the real prize.
Given the current valuation of the Thompson Group, the value of that 5% was almost immeasurable.
Because it was a pre-marital asset, Karina had never been able to touch it. But for Cynthia, Noah was willing to hand it all over.
"Why are you giving me all this?" Cynthia asked, her expression still cool as she put the documents back into the folder.
"We''re married. Shouldn''t I hand over my assets to my dear wife for safekeeping?" Noah said, holding her close.
Cynthia knew he was trying to win her back. To use his entire fortune to do so was quite a gamble.
"If you''re using your entire fortune to appease me now, what will you do the next time you make me angry?" Cynthia sighed, looking at him.
"I promise I''ll never dare to make you angry again," Noah said.
Cynthia fell silent again at his words.
She knew Noah was sincere in his attempt at reconciliation, but his words held little credibility. The next time something involving Nic came p, he would still prioritize child. The bond of blood was something that could never be broken.
Cynthia''s silence made Noah anxious again.
"I''ve given you myself, and I''ve given you my fortune. Cynthia, you can''t abandon me," Noah said, his arms tightening around her, trapping her in his embrace.
"You''re on probation for now. We''ll see how you behave in the future," Cynthia said with a faint smile, lightly tapping the back of his hand.
Now that they were married, Cynthia was determined to make it work.
She was confident she could find a way to handle Nic and the White family. As
for Noah, she couldn''t keep giving him the cold shoulder; that would only push him further away.
Seeing that he had finally managed to coax a smile out of her, Noah let out a sigh of relief.
He swept her up into his arms and carried her towards the bed.
"What are you doing? Put me down!" Cynthia cried out, startled.
"You said you wanted to see how I''d behave. Well, I''m going to give you a very good
performance tonight," Noah murmured, ying her gently on the bed.
Ever since the incident with Gina, Cynthia had been either working date at the office or burying herself in projects on set, clearly giving Noah the cold shoulder. They hadn''t been intimate in a long time.
Noah''s resolve seemed to snap as he pulled her closer, his touch heavy with a hunger he''d been trying to hide. He buried his face in the crook ete of her neck his voice a low jagged rasp. "Cynthia... let''s have a baby. I want a family with you."
Unlike the harmony and affection in the Thompson household, a cloud of gloom hung over the Walker family.
Once Vincent was certain that the Thompson family had given up on their son, Eden, he was adamant that Ynda divorce him.
Naturally, Eden refused.
