He was dressed in tailored trousers and a deep blue zer, looking less severe and more like a dashing young gentleman.
Yvonne''s first thought was that she was seeing things. She instinctively rubbed her eyes and stared nkly at him, only to see Bet striding toward her.
"What are you staring at? Don''t you recognize me?"
"Ben, what are you doing here?" Yvonne asked.
"I came to pick you up," Bet said, naturally taking her hand.
Even though the VIP lounge wasn''t crowded and Yvonne was wearing a hat and mask, it was still a public ce, so they couldn''t be too affectionate.
"My flight was about to head back anyway. You flew all the way here? Wasn''t that a hassle?" Yvonne said with a sigh.
"I happened to have the time, so I came," Bet said, affectionately ruffling her hair. He then looked over at Thomas, gave a polite nod, and said, "Cousin."
"Right," Thomas acknowledged with a nod before leading his assistant and the others to a different seating area.
It was obvious to both of them that Bet had shown up because of Thomas, but there was no need to say it out loud.
Bet led Yvonne to a seat on the other side of the lounge.
"When did you get here?" Yvonne asked.
"My flightnded this morning. It was a bit tight to go to the hotel, so I just waited for you at the airport," Bet replied.
Yvonne nodded, then added, "Bet, are you ever going to grow up?"
Bet just raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
A momentter, Yvonne''s assistant returned with the boarding passes, lookingpletely shocked to see Bet She greeted him, respectfully, handed Yvonne her pass, and then tactfully took a seat far away.
The weather must have been poor, because the flight was dyed. They waited in the airport for nearly an hour before the boarding announcement finally came on.
Yvonne''s luggage was handled by her assistant and staff, and Bet had no luggage at all. The two of them walked hand-in-hand onto the ne.
However, their boarding passes had been processed separately, so their seats were not together. In fact, Thomas''s seat was right next to Yvonne''s.
"Let''s switch, Cousin," Bet said, handing his boarding pass to Thomas.
Thomas shot Bet a cold look before taking the pass and moving to the seat behind them.
After everyone was settled, an announcement reminded passengers to turn off their phones and fasten their seatbelts for takeoff.
Bet naturally leaned over, buckled Yvonne''s seatbelt for her, then took her handbag, pulled out her phone, and powered it off.
The ne began to take off, creating a slight feeling of weightlessness, but for people like them who flew constantly, it was barely noticeable.
Bet put her handbag back, but now he was holding a sparkling diamond ring. He had found it in her bag when he was getting her phone.
"Why did you take it off?" Bet asked.
"I had to for the show,” Yvonne exined, holding her hand out to him. Bet took it and slid the ring back onto the ring finger of her right hand, then enveloped her hand in his

Yvonne had just eaten lunch and
