Chapter 549

"Alright, then let''s get you fed first." Bet picked up his fork, speared a small piece of steak, and brought it to her lips.

After they finished dinner, Bet drove Yvonne back to her apartment.

The ck Mercedes parked in front of her apartment building. Bet turned off the engine, and they went upstairs together.

Yvonne didn''t live in the apartment often, but she had a maid who cleaned it regrly.

So, when they opened the door, the ce was clean and tidy. A window in the living room was open, letting fresh air circte.

Yvonne took off her coat and, out of habit, picked up the remote from the coffee table and turned on the TV.

At that time, a local channel was airing an entertainment news segment. Coincidentally, they were interviewing Thomas.

As an A-list, award-winning actor, Thomas only took roles in major productions, and his work always garnered significant attention.

In the interview, Thomas was still in costume, looking quite dashing as a romantic schr.

"Did you turn on the TV just to see Thomas? Is he that good-looking?" Bet asked, wrapping his arms around Yvonne''s waist from behind.

Trapped against his chest, Yvonne turned her head to look at him. "Why do you sound so jealous? Can''t you be a little more confident, Mr. Bet Thompson? You''re much better looking than he is... Mmph..."

Before Yvonne could finish, Bet had pushed her down onto the sofa, his mouth capturing hers.

During their passionate kiss, his hot hands roamed her body.

Yvonne felt breathless, her body set on fire by his touch. Gasping, she reached out to pull at his shirt and unbuckle his belt.

Bet cooperated eagerly, and just as things were about to ignite, the doorbell rang at the most inopportune moment.

The doorbell rang once, then twice. When no one answered, the person outside started knocking.

"Yvonne? Yvonne, are you home?" her assistant''s voice called from outside.

Yvonne scrambled up from the sofa, hastily straightening her clothes, and gave Bet a push.

"Go hide in the bedroom for a bit. You cane out after my assistant leaves." Yvonne went to open the door.

When the door opened, her assistant

was standing outside, phone in hand, about to call her Yvonne, you''re home! Why didn''t you answer the door?"

"I was asleep. I didn''t hear it," Yvonne said dismissively.

"Oh." The assistant nodded. "The production team ising to film here tomorrow. Sandra sent me to help you check the apartment and put away anything that shouldn''t be or camera

"Oh, well,e on in then," Yvonne said, letting her in.

The assistant walked around the living room, meticulously checking everything and stowing away any problematic items in a cab.

After she finished with the living room, she headed for the bedroom but was stopped by Yvonne.

"There''s nothing in the master bedroom. I can tidy it up myself."

"Alright, I''ll go check the kitchen and the study then." The assistant didn''t think much of it and turned toward the kitchen.

Yvonne pushed the door open and stepped into the bedroom.

    Inside, the bedsidemp was on.

Bet was sitting on Yvonne''s pink princess bed, casually flipping through a script that had been on her nightstand.

"Did you get rid of her?" he asked as

    the

    in.opened and Yvonne came

in. He looked up at her and ced the script back on the nightstand.

"No. I sent her to check the study and the kitchen," Yvonne said, walking over to the

bed. Bet reached out and pulled her onto hisp.
