Bet changed into his military uniform in his room and then left.
Yvonne saw him to the door and watched him go before returning to her room to wash up and change. Then, she took Bullet out for a walk.
Cherry Apartment was built along the river. Yvonne, wearing a mask, led Bullet out of theplex.
She wore a bucket hat and a mask, wrapped up in a khaki trench coat. But Bullet was too conspicuous. The imposing dog trotted ahead at times, then pranced proudly behind her.
Passersby frequently stopped to stare. Someone even muttered, "That big dog looks just like the one Yvonne has on that show."
Terrified of being recognized by fans or strangers, Yvonne quickly walked Bullet along the riverbank and then headed back to the apartment.
By the time she and Bullet returned, Helen had already prepared breakfast and set it on the table.
"Yvonne, you''re back. Perfect timing, eat while it''s hot. I''ve steamed some raviolis and made some porridge."
Yvonne took off her coat, washed her hands, and sat down at the table to eat.
Bullet squatted at the entrance to the dining room, also eating his breakfast from his bowl.
Helen had also stir-fried two vegetable dishes. She ced them on the table and looked at Yvonne, seemingly wanting to say something.
“Helen, is there something else?" Yvonne asked, looking up from her utensils.
"Ms. Jones, you and the young master..." Helen asked cautiously.
"Bet and I are dating," Yvonne stated frankly.
Although Helen had already guessed the answer, she was still taken aback and instinctively asked, "Then what about Ms. Walker?"
"They broke up," Yvonne added.
After saying that, she picked up a ravioli with her chopsticks and started eating.
Helen remained standing by the table, as if she wanted to say more, but ultimately kept silent.
Yvonne chewed on the ravioli, her gaze falling on Helen''s back as she busied herself cleaning the kitchen. A shadow of sadness crossed her face.
In Helen''s eyes, and perhaps in the
public''s eye, she was the other
woman who had destroyed the rtionship between Bet and Ynda. But she could never exin that Bet h?d only gotten close Ynda to investigate the Walker family.
It was just like before, when she had dropped out of school and be Colin''s mistress.'' Everyone thought she had willingly degraded herself, and she couldn''t exin the truth then, either.
Yvonne finished her breakfast and went back to her room.
She had no work scheduled for the next two days and felt a bit idle. Sheyzily on the sofa, scrolling through her phone.
The entertainment world was unusually quiettely, with only trivial news.
Despite the huge scene at the hospital on the day of Ynda''s suicide attempt, not
a single word had leaked out.
Bet had said he would handle it, and he always kept his promises.
He had never broken a promise he made to her.
Yvonne scrolled for a while, almost dozing off, when Sandra called.
"I''m downstairs at your ce. Get ready ande down immediately. I''m taking you to meet Director Ward. He''s still missing a third female lead for his new drama I''ve read the script, and the role is perfect for you."
"You''re at my apartment in the city center?" Yvonne asked.
"Yes."
"I''m at Cherry Bay."
She really wanted to put a tracker on Yvonne so she could actually find her when she needed to.
Sandra then rushed over to Cherry Bay, picked up Yvonne, and they went to meet Director Ward together.
