All at once, a fight broke out.
Natalie looked at Luna, who said, "Natalie, the police will be here any minute."
Hearing the word "police," Joanna red at Natalie. "You dared to call the cops!" Natalie looked at her as if she were an idiot. "Youe here to steal mypany, and you expect me to not call the police? Should I wait until after you''ve taken it?" Joanna shot back, "Natalie, you''re shameless!"
"Right back at you. Is there anyone in the world more shameless than you, Joanna?” Natalie replied, raising an eyebrow with a smirk.
"Argh!"
Joanna was fuming.
Watching the mercenaries she''d hired get taken down one by one only made her more furious. "Useless! You''re all useless! Hit them harder! Throw them out of here!"
Today''s n had to seed. It wasn''t easy getting Sebastian killed. It was time for Natalie to join him.
But in the next moment, she was stunned. The highly-paid mercenary bodyguards she''d hired were all knocked to the ground by Natalie''s guards, then dragged into the elevator one by one.
In the end, only Joanna and Maxwell Griffith were left.
Joanna couldn''t believe Natalie''s bodyguards were so formidable.
"Natalie, where did you find these bodyguards?"
Natalie smiled faintly. "I didn''t ''find'' them anywhere. They''ve been with me since they were children, receiving the best training. Their skills, and their intelligence, are
far beyond what simpletons like you could everprehend."
"Bodyguards who grew up with you? Natalie, who are you, really?"
She must have missed something.
Why would Natalie have guards who had served her since childhood?
Bodyguards like that would be absolutely loyal, without a hint of betrayal.
For the first time, Joanna realized she didn''t know Natalie at all.
Natalie stared into her desperate eyes. So, Joanna could feel this way too. She spoke softly
panna tam a womanpletely out of your league Even when I wasn''t living with Wendy, I was still someone you could never hope to measure up to."
Joanna''s slender frame trembled.
Her eyes, cold and vicious, fixed on Natalie. "Then why didn''t you reveal your identity when you came home?"
Natalie''s smile was dazzlingly sharp. "Why would I steal the spotlight from you, the ''greatdy''? It was rather amusing watching you run around making a fool of yourself, wasn''t it?"
Joanna was speechless.
So, she had been the clown all along.
“No, that''s impossible. If you were really some prominent figure, why did you never say so?"
She refused to believe Natalie was some kind of heiress.
“Natalie, just because a few people call you ''miss,'' you really think you''re some high-and-mightydy?"
Natalie''s expression turned ice-cold. "My affairs are none of your business. The police are on their way up. If you don''t want to be taken away and have your career ruined, you can keep making a scene here."
"Regardless of your reasons, thepany is under my name now. Even if you call me a fraud, do you have any proof?"
"Maxwell, you really are a sore loser. When you signed the agreement, you knew perfectly well that if you cheated, all assets would be mine alone. Now that I''ve taken back what belongs to me, you want to cause trouble? Why did you sign the agreement in the first ce?"
“I have plenty of evidence of your affair. Should I call the media for you?"
Natalie gestured downstairs. "Oh,
that''s right. I''m formally taking over the Griffith Group today, so I''ve invited a whole crowd of reporters. In a little while, I''ll tell them we just got divorced yesterday, and that you and Joanna have been having an affair this whole time."
