Sebastian''s eyes were bloodshot.
His head was injured, and his face was swollen.
He regretted not acting sooner, which had given Joanna and Maxwell Griffith an opening.
Fortunately, it wasn''t toote.
He wondered how Timothy had managed to find a doppelg?nger who looked exactly like him.
But he knew one thing for sure: his mother had only ever given birth to him. It was impossible for him to have a twin brother.
Yet Maxwell Griffith''s every move, every nce, was so simr to his own.
No wonder Natalie couldn''t tell them apart from the photos.
He had never touched Joanna, and he had been just as shocked when he saw those pictures.
If he had actually been with Joanna, even he might not have been able to tell if the photos were fake.
Sebastian looked at Sean. "Is everything set for tomorrow?"
Seeing his weakened state, Sean said, "It''s all arranged, sir. Please take this medicine. I got it from the madam''s first aid kit-something to stop the bleeding, anti-inmmatories, and painkillers. They''re very effective."
Sebastian couldn''t go to a hospital right now, so he had to rely on Natalie''s medical supplies.
He had used them before and knew they worked surprisingly well.
"Alright," Sebastian said in a low voice. "Let''s go back."
He cast onest, reluctant look at Natalie''s room.
She knew now. She knew the man in Joanna''s bed wasn''t him.
He also remembered the words he''d heard as he was losing consciousness, a
memory that pierced his heart every time he thought of it.
Sean handed him the medicine and, after he took it, drove away.
His phone was ringing. It was Luna, that cool yet adorable girl. But he couldn''t
reveal himself now, couldn''t drag her into this mess.
As long as Luna didn''t know his whereabouts, she would be safe.
Once they got through this, he would definitely marry Luna.
Sean smiled at the thought. He was injured too, his face covered in cuts. When be discovered that Sebastian had been reced, he had taken b men and followed. With the five of them working together, they managed to pull the post-surgery Sebastian from the freezing ocean.
Sebastian had truly narrowly escaped the Reaper.

At the crack of dawn, Natalie was already awake.
Once she was up, she didn''t try to go back to sleep. Instead, she got ready for the
day.
She wheeled herself into the
bathroom. Half an hourter, she
emerged and chose a ck
business suit with a matching overcoat She caught her reflection in the mirror-steely, poised, and utterly lethal. A cold smile touched her lips.
In the elevator, she saw a new message.
[Madam, hello. This is Brian Foster, an executive at headquarters. Could you please
ept my friend request?]
Natalie froze when she saw the message.
Madam!
For a moment, she questioned whether the divorce had even been real.
But she had the certificate in her hand. It had to be real, right?
It must be!
Natalie thought back to the previous day. Getting the divorce certificate had been almost too easy.
The official seal on it was genuine.
They wouldn''t dare y games with something like that.
But there were other possibilities.
She added him. She knew of Brian Foster; he had been with Sebastian for years
and would never betray him. She epted the request.
She then sent Brian a message: [Mr.
Foster, please notify all senior executives, department managers and the CEOs of all subsidiaries
attend a meeting today. It will
be
conducted via video conference and in person at the office.]
