"Don''t you love making a bad situation worse? Don''t you love rubbing salt in my wounds? Don''t you just love taking advantage of someone when they''re down?"
"Doesn''t Sebastian love you more than life itself? Then why did he give all his assets to me?"
"Joanna, for all your confidence, your perspective is still too narrow. You haven''t learned a thing. The person who taught you how to control everything didn''t make you a sess, nor did they teach you to see through deception."
"You remember this. From now on, when ites to you, I''ll be ruthless when I have to be, and I will absolutely not tolerate anything I don''t have to."
Joanna''s eyes widened as she stared at the rebellious Natalie. She didn''t understand. Everything had been going ording to their n, so how did it end up like this? Wendy''spany had been a total waste of effort. And so had the situation with Sebastian. Everything was supposed to be under their control, pletely foolproof, so why was it all for nothing?
Joanna was too furious to speak. Natalie looked at the three of them, her gaze finallynding on Maxwell Griffith. "Where''s Sean? Why isn''t he with you? I can''t reach him on his phone."
Maxwell Griffith replied, "He leakedpany secrets. I had him taken to the police stationst night."
Natalie knew it. Sean was in trouble. Tears glistened in her eyes as she pointed at him and screamed, "Sebastian, you''re a goddamn monster! I hope you burn in the deepest pits of hell for what you''ve done."
"You and that snake Joanna deserve nothing but a slow, painful end. The world will finally see you for the trash you are."
"I will personally watch you two scoundrels be crushed to dust."
"Sean is your best friend! How many times did he save your life? Leakpany secrets? Impossible! He was thrown in jail just for defending me a few times?"
"Sebastian, Joanna, I hope you two are stuck with each other forever. And I hope you never receive a single sincere blessing for the rest of your lives!"
Having unleashed her tirade, Natalie felt a rush of satisfaction. She had been waiting for this day for a long time. Now, a wave of anxiety hit her. Where had they taken the reat Sebastian? She had to find Sean to find out what had happened to him.
Joanna and Maxwell Griffith''s faces were dark, and they stared at Natalie in unison, their eyes filled with disbelief. They never imagined such vile words coulde from her mouth.
Joanna''s voice was a ragged shriek as she lunged at Natalie, screaming, "Natalie, I''ll kill you! How could you curse us like that?"
she was consumed by a frantic rage, her face turning a violent shade of crimson. The veins in her forehead throbbed with such intensity that he looked as though her skin might crack under the strain. She raised her hand to strike Natalie.
Queena quickly pulled the wheelchair back a step. Joanna, having lunged with too
much force, lost her bnce and tumbled awkwardly to the floor at Madam Griffith''s feet.
Madam Griffith remained silent.
Joanna stared at the tips of Madam Griffith''s shoes, feeling utterly humiliated. She cried out, "Natalie, how can you humiliate me so shamelessly!"
Natalie had Queena wheel her closer. She looked down at Joanna and asked, "Can''t take it anymore, Joanna? Feeling wronged? Feeling angryhen how are we supposed to ount for all the things you did to me?"
