She picked up her phone and sent a message to Natalie.
[Natalie, I''m okay. Sean''s okay too.]
Natalie was already at the hospital when she saw Luna''s message.
[Good. It''s freezing out there. Both of you need toe to the hospital for a full check-up. We don''t want you getting sick. I''ll wait for you here.]
A faint smile touched Luna''s lips.
[Okay. Sean passed out, so we have to take him to the hospital anyway.]
Luna started the car and drove toward the city. Sean had been changed into dry clothes, but he had lost consciousness again and was lying limp in the other car.
A pang of sympathy shot through Luna. He was usually so cheerful and so dedicated to his work.
Luna had Zane''s car follow hers back to the hospital.
On the way, she received another call from Sebastian.
"Luna, how is Sean?"
By the time Horace''s contact had called back, Sean had already been thrown into the ocean. Sebastian had been frantic and immediately called Luna, pinning all his hopes on her since she had been following Sean.
"Mr. Griffith, he''s stable for now," Luna said. "I''m taking him to the hospital. He passed out again after being pulled from the ocean."
"Okay, Luna, thank you. Send me the address. I''m on my way."
Luna sent him the hospital''s address and hung up.
She was taking Sean to the hospital owned by Natalie, where Natalie and Susan were already waiting.
An hourter, they arrived.
Both Luna and Sean were sick from the exposure. During the drive, Luna had started feeling dizzy and feverish; she wasing down with a cold.
Natalie was waiting for them on the ground floor.
When she saw Zane and the other bodyguard carrying Sean in, she directed them to a private room and had Luna get an IV drip as well.
Both of them were suffering from mild hypothermia and minor scrapes, so Natalie made sure they were wrapped in heated nkets and treated their cuts.
As the IV dripped, Luna recounted the day''s events to Natalie.
After hearing the story, Natalie said, "So, who do you think those two men who took Sean work for? Why did they want to kill him?"
"I suspect it was Joanna, Natalie. If Mr. Griffith doesn''t cover for her this time for kidnapping and attempted, murder, she wont be able to escape justice."
Natalie''s lips curved into a slight smile. "We don''t have any proof it was Joanna yet. He was willing to give her the design ns, so he''d probably cover for her in a murder case, too. But for now, we have to wait for the investigation."
Luna was furious. "Natalie, it has to be her. Only that woman is vicious enough to harm Susan and Sean. Mr. Griffith doesn''t even care about Sean''s life, why should Sean work fora man like that?"
"I risked my life to pull him out of that ocean. If Sebastian won''t value his life, then
you should let hime work with you. He''s a good person."
Sebastian had just reached the door to the room when he overheard their conversation.
His expression turned grim as he quickly walked in.
When Natalie and Luna saw his tall figure enter, they stopped talking. Neither of them acknowledged him.
Sebastian saw that Sean was safe and resting in bed with an IV, and the heavy weight on his chest finally lifted.
He looked at Luna, grateful that she had saved Sean. "Luna, thank you for saving him."
Luna''s expression was grim. "You don''t have to thank me. I just want to find the people who kidnapped him."
Sebastian then turned to Natalie. She looked exhausted, too. On his way over, he had seen the news report about her saving a mother and child.
