Natalie was delighted. She would go after the new year; she had a project to discuss there anyway.
"Wayne, I''m not going to immigrate. I love my country. I can spend a few years abroad, but I have no ns to leave permanently. And Wayne, listen, Mr. Monroe is going to do very well in the future. You should definitely coborate with him more."
Wayneughed. "I know, I know. You''ve reminded me before, and I''ll do as you say. But don''t worry, your second brother and I will be back before your birthday."
Hearing this, Natalie''s eyes welled up with tears. "Wayne, does this mean our third brother still won''t forgive me? My impulsive decision to marry Sebastian made him so upset... Is he never going to forgive me?"
"Natty, don''t think like that. He''s just stubborn. He actually really wants to see you. Every time you send us a message, he''s right there reading over our shoulders, and he''s happy. He just can''t bring himself to talk to you yet. He was so angry when you suddenly decided to marry Sebastian. Your brother has sharp instincts; he knew Sebastian wouldn''t treat you well, and he was right. He couldn''t stand watching you live such a miserable life, so he went abroad. But even after he left, he''s always kept an eye on you. He loves you very much, so don''t overthink it."
That just made Natalie feel worse. "I know, Wayne. I love you all." She forced a smile.
Wayne''s voice was full of affection. "We love you too, Natty. Stay safe, and if you need anything done, have Keith handle it."
"Okay, okay. I''ll take care of myself. Don''t worry about me." After a few more words, Natalie ended the call.
She saw the re of headlights outside and knew Sebastian was home. She stood up and went to the kitchen to start cooking.
*Keep Sebastian stable, and let my brothers develop their business.* That was what she needed to do. Don''t get angry. Peace brings prosperity.
Thinking this way made Natalie feel much better. *Good deeds build a good reputation. Helping others is helping yourself. The bigger your vision, the greater your sess. Win trust first, then win profits.*
In this life, Sebastian hadn''t yet inflicted the kind of irreversible damage he had in thest one. The pain she had endured so far was the kind many women experience the hurt thates from loving and not being loved. In the grand scheme of things, it was minor. She needed to broaden her perspective.
She remembered something her grandfather used to tell them. "My darlings, you four siblings must
always remember this: sometime
vielding a step brings peace, while fighting for it only brings trouble. Always leave an out for others, and in doing so, you create am opportunity for yourself."
Her grandfather was right. *Widen your view, expand your horizons.*
When Sebastian got out of the car and saw the pathway lights of the vi glowing, a sense of warmth spread through him.
Sean said, "Sir, these are the roses you bought for your wife. It''s the first time you''ve given her roses. I checked, and they''re her favorite flower."
Sebastian looked at him. "Who did you check with?"
Sean answered confidently, "Your grandmother."
Sebastian considered this. His grandmother wouldn''t be wrong. He had also noticed that Natalie often bought roses for her study. His eyes flickered. "Good."
He carried the roses inside.
After changing his shoes in the entryway, he headed toward the kitchen.
Natalie was justing out with a bowl of spicy sliced pork, the aroma filling the dining room. As she set the dish on the table, vibrant ssh of color caught her eye.
Natalie''s head snapped up to look at Sebastian. Seeing the surprised delight in her
eyes, he knew she liked them. He smiled gently. "They''re for you."
