Natalie knew she had heard enough.


    She watched Mrs. Wilson tremble with grief, her sobs choked and silent. She guided Mrs. Wilson away, their steps natural and unnoticed.

    A few minutester, Mrs. Wilson''s crying subsided, but her throat felt tight, as if choked with unshed grief. The pain was too immense for sound. She could only sit there numbly, letting the heartache wash over her.

    Natalie got in the car and told Luna to drive back to the hospital.
