Zenobia smiled and patted her on the shoulder. "Natalie, the world can be unfair, but someone who will always choose you wille along."
"That''s right! We''ll all find that!" Natalie said with a confident smile. After letting go, she could talk about Sebastian and Joanna''s affair so easily. Her chest still ached, but she could face it with a smile.
She thought to herself that everyone has a memory they can''t go back to and can''t quite escape from.
She was one of those people. But sometimes, a world without that person could be perfect in its own way.
And Natalie still dreamed of meeting a man who would adore her.
Thinking of this, she felt a tightness in her chest.
Sebastian stood at the doorway, listening to the three of them talk, his expression cold. If he hadn''te, he never would have known that in others'' eyes, he truly treated Joanna like she was the apple of his eye.
And in Natalie''s heart, he could never be redeemed.
Sebastian felt a wave of frustration. Was Joanna just that cunning, or was he just that stupid?
Sean nced at Sebastian''s dark face. The boss had wanted to stage a chance encounter, but he hadn''t expected to overhear gossip about himself.
And it was explosive gossip at that. Natalie said she didn''t care about him anymore. Sean could see that from the day she left, Natalie had stopped loving Sebastian. He asked in a low voice, "Sir, are we still going in?"
It would be rather impolite to go in now.
It would disturb Natalie and her friends.
Sebastian didn''t speak, an icy chill emanating from him. He was usually a man of few words, one who might even smile when angry, but right now, Sean could see he wasn''t capable of a smile.
His wife was about to run off.
"Natalie, Matthew is a great guy. Why don''t you consider him?"
It was Susan''s voice, and it sessfully halted Sebastian''s move to leave.
Natalie''s smiling voice followed.
"I''ll have to wait until after my
divorce I''m thinking of moving abroad in the future anyway still young. I put dating on the back burner until I''m thirty."
Zenobia eximed, "Hey, by the time you''re thirty, my son will be starting elementary school! You''ll be an old auntie by
the Conte
"Not old at all! Life begins at sixty!" Natalie''s voice was full of cheer.
Sebastian didn''t listen to the rest. He only registered one thing: Natalie no longer loved him and was even nning to leave.
Sebastian''s handsome face turned frosty, his deep eyes filled with a terrifying rage that radiated a menacing aura.
Just then, his phone rang with Horace''s number.
He hung up. Horace immediately called back.
Sebastian''s brow furrowed, his dark eyes terrifyingly deep. His voice wasced with fury. "Hello!"
"Mr. Griffith, it''s terrible! Ms. Scott fainted and is in the hospital now."
Sebastian''s anger reached its peak. "If she''s in the hospital, find a doctor. Why are you calling me?"
He hung up immediately after speaking.
On the other end, Horace froze, his pupils trembling. Sebastian''s voice had been so cold it sent a shiver down his spine.
And he realized with chilling rity that Sebastian truly no longer cared about Joanna.
For so many years, Sebastian had treated Joanna like she was the most precious thing in the world, but now...?
Joanna had just woken up. Seeing Horace standing there in a daze, she asked weakly, "Horace, is Sebastianing?"
