Natalie smiled. "L."
Matthew paused for a moment. L... He felt like he''d heard that somewhere before but couldn''t quite ce it.
His eyes were full of admiration. With these designs, the next quarter''s profits would be through the roof. "Great! I''ll arrange everything from here on out. You just focus on the designs. As long as you keep a low profile, Joanna won''t have a chance to scheme against you."
After finalizing their ns, Matthew had to get back to the office.
Natalie didn''t want to hold him up, so she stood and left with him. With the design issue settled, she could finally go home and rx.
Matthew''s family had a lot ofplicated business. It would be at least three years before he became the kind of powerful figure everyone respected.
She could wait three years.
The two of them left together, with Natalie walking just ahead of Matthew.
Matthew looked at her slender back and frowned. "Natalie, you should eat more. You''re too thin."
Even in her down jacket, she still looked incredibly slim.
Natalie had a model''s figure and was quite satisfied with it. She turned to face Matthew.
She spun around so suddenly that Matthew, who hadn''t stopped walking, couldn''t avoid her. Natalie crashed right into his chest, her face pressing against him.
"Ah..." Mortified, Natalie tried to step back, but her soft hair got tangled in a button on Matthew''s overcoat.
She was speechless. It was a perfect example of how things go wrong when you''re in a hurry.
"Ouch..." The sharp tug on her scalp made her hiss in pain as she tried to pull away.
"Natalie, don''t move," he said, his voice low. Their current situation felt like a tangle of fate.
Matthew took a step closer, leaning down to gently untangle her hair from the button.
Just then, Sebastian and his group emerged from a nearby room.
From Sebastian''s perspective, it looked like Matthew and Natalie were embracing. Sebastian stiffened, his handsome face darkening. A bone-chilling coldness filled his deep eyes.
Julian saw it was Natalie and a cruel smile touched his lips. He narrowed his wicked eyes. "Natalie sure gets around."
Sebastian was about to walk over when he heard Matthew''s voice. "There. Did that pull too hard?"
Natalie rubbed her head. "Sorry, Mr. Monroe. It was my fault. I shouldn''t have turned around so suddenly."
"I''m fine. You''re the one who got hurt. Next time you see a man with buttons on his coat, be sure to keep your distance. Getting your hair caught like that can be painful, Che said, his Words clear, his tone deep and pleasant.
Sebastian and Julian stared,pletely bewildered.
"I know, Mr. Monroe. I was just trying to tell you that my figure is fine. I''m not too thin."
"You really don''t eat enough. I''m getting a shipment of high-quality beef from abroad
in a few days. I''ll send some over to you," Matthew said gently.
"Okay! And when summeres, go diving for fish for you. I''ve loved diving since I was a kid. Tve always been fascinated by the mysteries of the ocean."
Matthew had seen videos of her diving and was astonished. "Natalie, let''s go together this summer. I can swim, but I don''t know how to dive."
"Sure! Clear your schedule for four or five days in the summer. It''ll be more fun that way."
The two of them walked and talked, pletely oblivious to Sebastian and his group behind them.
Sebastian watched their retreating
backs, his dark eyes sharp, like a lone wolf stalking through the forest, radiating a potent, dangerous male energy.
Even Julian could feel his anger.
He watched Sebastian thoughtfully. He had known Sebastian for years but had
never seen him exude such a silent, yet intense, fury.
