"Whatever happened that night, time will help you forget."
Natalie saw her eyelids flutter again, but she still didn''t wake up.
Seeing that it was gettingte, she gave Mrs. Wilson a pill and left the room.
Her senior colleague had surgery today, so she didn''t see him on her way out.
Natalie left directly and went to the market. She bought pork ribs, a whole chicken, and a lot of vegetables. There was no heating in the market, and she shivered in the cold.
Once back in the car, she nced at her reflection in the rearview mirror. Her nose was red and her hands were numb. She had also bought a roasted milk tea with rose. She took a sip, and aforting warmth spread through her body, soothing her dry throat.
Natalie looked down at the cup. Maybe it was because of the cold, but it tasted especially delicious.
After a few more sips, Natalie drove home to make dinner.
Sebastian had messaged her saying he''d be home for dinner tonight.
That''s why she had to go out and buy groceries. Sebastian didn''t like having servants in the house, so she had to do most things herself.
What a ridiculous quirk. What was wrong with using things other people had touched?
Natalie fumed silently, her mind racing as she drove back to the vi, where she saw an unfamiliar car parked outside.
She didn''t pay it much mind, pulling into the garage and getting out with the groceries.
Her hands were full, but the bags didn''t feel heavy.
As soon as she walked in the door, she heard Julian''s voice.
So, Julian was here. Sebastian rarely brought friends home. This was....
"Sebastian, I never thought you''d move here. These vis are almost impossible to get. How did you manage it?"
Sitting on the sofa, Sebastian nced at him coolly. "You didn''t offer enough money. I paid double."
"Double?!" Julian was shocked. "That''s hundreds of millions, isn''t it?"
Sebastian''s expression remained t. “Yes.”
Julian was speechless.
You''re rich. You win.
Julian had wanted a vi here too, but couldn''t get one.
Standing nearby, Natalie froze for a second. Sebastian paid double for this vi just to live here with her?
Was he insane? If he had that much money, why not donate it to charity?
Natalie mmed her car keys down on the entryway table.
When Sebastian saw Natalie had returned and was loaded down with bags, he quickly stood up to help her.
Natalie didn''t refuse. The bags were heavy, and her arms would have gotten tired eventually.
He pointed toward the kitchen and
said, "Take everything to the kitchen. I''m going to change, and thene down to make dinner."
Sebastian looked at her, his eyes gentle. "Okay!"
Natalie walked through the living room without a word of greeting. Julian and Adrian had always looked down on her and they''d insulted her several times while defending Joanna. She didn''t feel the need to be polite to yboys like them. Cóntent
They didn''t deserve it.
Julian watched Natalie''s retreating back, fully aware of why she was ignoring him.
She must hate him. After all, he''d never treated her with any respect. If it weren''t for Sebastian, he probably would have said even worse things to her.
After all, he had met Joanna first and knew how much Sebastian cared for her back
then, so of course, they had sided with her.
He wasn''t going to force a rtionship that wasn''t there.
When Sebastian came back out, Julian stood up. “I should get going."
Sebastian stopped him. "Wait, there''s something else I need to talk to you about."
Julian sank back onto the sofazily. “What is it?"
