Natalie knew what she wanted to say and cut her off immediately.
No forgiveness was her final answer.
In her past life, she had seen all their true colors.
She also stood up. "The reason I told you the truth was because you could also help me deal with Joanna."
"At Joanna''s birthday party, when you and Nathan decided to cut ties with me, you were sincere. And so am I."
"Your lives have nothing to do with me. Mrs. Scott, please leave. And take your soup with you. I don''t want it."
Her attitude was utterly cold. She truly would not forgive them.
Wendy didn''t take the soup. She walked out with her head bowed, crying, her back hunched with a profound sorrow.
Natalie stood up and called for Luna, asking her to return the thermal container to Wendy. Then, she got back to work.
Nothing could stop her from making money now.
Only by bing stronger could she stand firm in this world full of challenges andpetition. Only then could she withstand the storms of life and protect the warm harbor in her heart. Only then could she chase those once-distant dreams and prevent the light of hope from dimming. Only then would she have the courage and strength to fight back against injustice and hardship, to make a change. Only then could she stand out from the crowd and shine with her own unique light.
Natalie took a deep breath and threw herself into her work. There were still many documents to review.
When Wendy reached the ground floor, Luna caught up with her. "Ma''am, please take this back. She has plenty of people to make her soup."
Wendy knew from her investigation that Luna was Natalie''s assistant. "Luna, has Natalie... has she been doing welltely?" she asked, her eyes red.
Luna replied, "She''s doing great. We grew up with her. Even without the love of her parents, she''s more brilliant than any of you could ever hope to be."
With that cold statement, Luna ced the container in Wendy''s arms and walked away.
Wendy stood in the wind and snow, weeping softly. Natalie would never forgive her in this lifetime.
"Tsk!" A mocking sound came from behind her.
Wendy looked up and saw Nathan and Sophia.
Sophia was clinging to Nathan''s arm, a smug and arrogant look on her face as she stared at Wendy.
The "tsk" hade from her.
Wendy immediatelyposed
herself and looked at the shameless pair. "Nathan, so this is the mistress
yours
been keeping for over
decade. She''s certainly well-fed."
Nathan froze. How did she know it had been over a decade?
"Wendy, it''s not what you think..."
Wendy smiled, cutting him off. "Nathan, you''re not picky at all, are you? You knew she was Mr. Wilson''s mistress, yet you continued to treat her so well. I guess trash wilPalways stick with trash."
She hadn''t known until she started digging, but what a shock it had been.
Sophia and Mr. Wilson were old ssmates.
If they were ssmates, they must have been together for many years.
Nathan''s been yed for a fool all this time. What goes aroundes around.
Sophia froze, staring at Wendy''s elegant and gentle face. She had only made one sound.
And Wendy had unloaded all of that.
She was aghast and shouted, "Wendy, what nonsense are you talking?"
Wendy gave a cold, brief smile. She had been looking for a chance to show Nathan
the video, and here was a perfect opportunity.
She unlocked her phone and shot Nathan a mocking smile as she showed him the screen "Nathan take a good look. See for yourself what her rtionship with MP. Wilson really is."
