Natalie shot a look at Luna.
Luna knew her mind was a mess and feared she was about to let her heart rule her
head again.
She whispered, "Snap out of it. Don''t let your IQ drop to zero just because
Sebastian is around. That head of yours isn''t just for show—you need to use it to figure out if he''s even worthy!"
"The second your heart takes over, your brain checks out. Be careful"
Natalie felt like crying but couldn''t.
She really couldn''t.
It was too much.
Sebastian was just too much of a bully.
Feelingpletely drained, Natalie handed the keys back to Sebastian, her voice weak. "I''m not going. And bringing your grandmother into this won''t work either. Sebastian, stay away from me."
Sebastian looked from the keys in his hand to her devastated expression, his brow furrowing slightly.
Was she...?
A ball of anger began to form in his chest. What was this supposed to mean? Before, she would have done anything to stick to him twenty-four hours a day. She was a clinger, and it broke her heart when she couldn''t be near him.
But now, all she did was push him away.
Natalie took a few steps away and said, "By the way, that supplementary card you gave me? I was so angry earlier that I threw it in the firece. It''s gone now, but I''m sure it won''t affect you."
"Also, I don''t want anything from you. I don''t want to owe you anything. Besides this piece of paper we call a marriage, there''s nothing else between us."
"Natalie, you..."
Just then, Sean stepped forward. "Sir, the meeting is about to start. It''s an emergency session, we have to go back immediately."
Sebastian stared at Natalie''s slumped shoulders, a sudden urge to hold her washing over him.
But Natalie was furious and wouldn''t listen to a word he said. He turned and walked away.
Only then did Luna speak up. "Your father is here. He''s waiting for you in the lounge."
Natalie froze. What was Nathan doing here?
She wasn''t in the mood. She wouldn''t see him.
"Tell him to get lost! He''s not my father." Natalie headed straight for the elevator.
But Nathan, tired of waiting, hade out of the lounge just in time to hear her.
He roared in anger, "Natalie, what
fan of is that to talk? I''m y and you''re telling me to get

Seeing that he''d heard her, Natalie braced herself to deal with him.
Not wanting to cause a scene in the lobby, she said, "Fine. Don''t get lost. Let''s talk in the lounge."
Nathan''s brow tightened, but he followed her.
Inside, she saw Colin and shot him a cool nce before sitting on a nearby sofa.
Colin met her indifferent gaze, his own eyes filled with worry and sympathy.
Nathan sat down and got straight to the point "Natalie, I heard your brother recently finished a project overseas and gave you the shares. The profits were nearly a fortune, is that right?"
It wasn''t a question; it was an interrogation.
Natalie wondered how he knew.
She suddenly remembered having dinner with Matthew two weeks ago, where they
had run into Joanna and Sebastian.
Joanna must have been the one who told Nathan.
Thinking about Nathan''s recent situation, she asked, "Why do you ask?"
Nathan smiled. "No reason. I''m your
father, and our family is bankrupt now. Since you have money, you should hand it over. Or, you could give me thepany to manage. You''ve seen my capabilities over the years. Call your brother and ask him when he''s going to transfer thepany to me."
